Zebra Networks raises over 1.6 billion yuan, further opening up and building an industry ecosystem

On September 13, Zebra Networks, Alibaba's center in Shanghai, announced the completion of its first round of financing of over 1.6 billion yuan, with a valuation of over 1 billion US dollars, and has been included in the ranks of unicorns.

At the same time, Zebra Networks also announced a more comprehensive open strategy, including technology openness, business openness, ecological openness, and equity openness.

This round of financing was led by SDIC Innovation, followed by Yunfeng Fund and Shangqi Capital. According to Hao Fei, CEO of Banma Network, this round of financing was completed very quickly, and the next round of financing will be launched soon. At the same time, this financing will also make Banma more open, such as to vehicle manufacturers and parts manufacturers.

As the lead investor, Zhai Jun, managing director of SDIC Innovation, also expressed his trust in Banma Networks: "With the changes in the in-vehicle electronic and electrical architecture and the introduction of the mobile Internet ecosystem, 'intelligent networking' has become another important field of rapid development after 'electrification'. As a leading company in this field, SDIC Innovation is willing to help Banma Networks accelerate the implementation of the 'comprehensive opening strategy', so that more cars can use China's self-controlled operating system, and lead the healthy and orderly development of global automobile companies in this field."

This round of financing will be used, on the one hand, to attract top talents and develop forward-looking technologies, so as to promote the rapid expansion of various business lines and the opening of the ecosystem, and continue to expand the leading edge of Zebra Network. On the other hand, it will also accelerate the upgrading of products and services, explore operating models more quickly, and cultivate user habits. At the same time, it will also establish a more effective incentive system to create a unique culture of Zebra Network.

In addition to the cooperation with SAIC Group, Banma Network has also cooperated with many car companies. In the second half of this year, three new Internet cars equipped with the Banma system (based on AliOS) will be launched on the market, from Dongfeng Citroen, Changan Ford and Qoros.

In the future, Zebra's circle of friends will be further expanded. In the future, not only multinational car companies and domestic brands will join, but also more luxury brands will join. At the same time, Zebra Network will open up its deep customization capabilities to vehicle manufacturers to achieve technology openness. It will also open its in-vehicle application platform for the first time, actively access applications and services developed by car companies and third-party service providers, and achieve ecological openness.
