Secretary-General Peng Jianfeng analyzed the entire industry and said, "OTT content has become increasingly rich, and the viewing experience on large screens is also better, so now we have entered a stage where users are returning to TV. Currently, the average per capita TV ownership in China is only 1.3 sets, and the average usage period is about 12 years." "Such a long service life is unhealthy, because a TV that is used for more than 7 years is unsafe and not environmentally friendly. 12 years far exceeds the safe service life of a flat-screen TV, and it also hinders the development of the industry. Therefore, all of us in the industry must cultivate the habit of users to replace their TVs for safety and environmental protection, and work together to expand this market." Peng Jianfeng also pointed out the drawbacks in the current TV market, the most important of which is the unhealthy model of low-price competition. In his opinion, such an approach cannot bring healthy development to the industry. Manufacturers should make money on terminals and jointly expand the number of OTT terminals to allow users to consume content better, so that the OTT industry can become prosperous.
