After two years, NIO's 50,000th vehicle rolled off the assembly line

As one of the earliest new energy vehicle companies to enter the market, NIO's delivery data has always been very stable. Recently, NIO officially announced that as of July 18, 2020, NIO's 50,000th vehicle rolled off the production line at its Hefei manufacturing base.

It is worth noting that NIO did not adopt the model of building its own factory to produce cars, but chose the OEM model in cooperation with JAC. According to the introduction, the factory jointly built by NIO and JAC launched the first NIO ES8 in May 2018. Roughly speaking, it took only two years for NIO to increase its sales from 1 to 50,000.

In terms of sales, NIO sold a total of 3,740 vehicles in June 2020, a year-on-year increase of 179.1%. It can be seen that with NIO's healthy production capacity, NIO's sales have also been growing, which is definitely good news.

However, it is worth noting that NIO’s biggest challenge at this stage is its continued losses. Not to mention NIO’s previous losses, NIO lost 11.46 billion yuan in 2019 alone. Therefore, NIO’s biggest challenge at this stage is to turn losses into profits.
