Brokerage: The possibility of Apple cooperating with Tesla, NIO, Xpeng and other car companies exceeds 70%

Recently, Dan Ives, an analyst at US brokerage firm Wedbush Securities, released a research report saying that Apple may enter the electric vehicle field in 2021 through a "strategic partnership in the electric vehicle field."

After contacting many investors, Dan Ives believes that Apple is more inclined to establish partnerships with automakers than to build its own factories and manufacture cars from scratch. According to Ives' prediction, in the next few years, "the probability of Apple establishing partnerships with new car manufacturers such as Tesla, NIO, and Xpeng will be more than 70%."

A big part of the reason why Apple prefers to build cars with partners is because Apple has long been accustomed to the "lightweight" OEM model - most of its mobile phones, laptops, headphones and other products are manufactured by the supply chain.

Perhaps because it saw that the window of opportunity in the industry was closing, Reuters said last week that Tesla was stepping up the development of electric vehicles equipped with "breakthrough battery technology" and expected to be launched in 2025. And against the backdrop of the growing rumors about Apple's car manufacturing, Musk tweeted yesterday that "in the darkest days of the Model 3 project", he had hoped that Apple would take over Tesla for 60 billion, but Cook directly refused the meeting. Combined with Dan Ives' analysis, Musk's revelations are meaningful.
