Nokia X/Asha501 comparison experience

Although it is an Android system, Nokia X is different from common Android phones. Instead, it uses a combination of a tile interface similar to the Windows Phone system and a Fastlane interface similar to Asha. It is worth mentioning that in terms of operation, Nokia X also has the characteristic gesture experience of the Asha platform. The new Asha platform is a system platform built by Nokia based on the S40 platform in 2013. Asha501 is the first model of the new Asha platform launched by Nokia, and it is also the beginning of Nokia's new attempt in the market below 1,000 yuan. As two "beginning-type" products, Nokia X and Nokia Asha501 do have many similarities, but they are also obviously different... In terms of appearance, everyone already knew from a lot of news before the release of Nokia X that the phone is very similar to Nokia's Asha model, and there is also only one return button on the front, located in the center of the bottom. The return key of Asha501 is still a physical key, but the Asha500, 502 and 503 launched at Nokia World Conference 2013 have all been changed to virtual touch keys, which is obviously more convenient. Therefore, Nokia X also continues the virtual touch key operation mode of Asha500 and other models. The screens of Nokia Asha series models are generally small. Asha501 uses a 3-inch screen with QVGA (320*240 pixels) resolution and a screen pixel density of 133; Nokia X's screen is slightly larger, 4 inches, WVGA (800*480 pixels) resolution, and a screen pixel density of 233ppi, which is 100ppi higher than Asha501, so its display effect is obviously better. Due to the larger screen, the body size of Nokia X is slightly larger than Asha501, but its body is a little thinner. In addition, the shape of Nokia X is more square, with relatively sharp edges and corners, not the rounded shape of Asha501. However, the body materials of the two are the same, so the feeling of contact with the skin is similar, giving people a "Nokia-style" solid feeling. But here I will not try to use them to crack walnuts for comparison^_^. As products of two different platforms, the most obvious difference between Nokia X and Nokia Asha501 is the application experience. Nokia X is compatible with Android applications. Currently, there are more than 20,000 domestic applications in Nokia App Store, including Nokia HERE Maps, MixRadio, etc. You can experience it. Except for the number of applications, the specific experience of Nokia X applications is not much different from that of other Android products. I personally think that the application experience is much better than that of Asha501. Nokia X runs on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, with 512MB system memory, 4GB body storage, and supports dual SIM dual standby. The processor of Nokia Asha501 has not been explicitly mentioned, but its system memory is only 64MB, with 128MB body storage, and it is also a dual SIM dual standby model. Both of them support up to 32GB micro SD card expansion storage. Since different platforms have different hardware consumption, the configurations of the two are not comparable. In terms of battery life, Nokia X uses a 1500mAh battery, while Nokia Asha501 uses a 1200mAh battery. Although the battery capacity of Asha501 is slightly inferior, the specific usage is that the battery life of Asha501 is much better than that of Nokia X. On the one hand, it is because the screen of Nokia X is larger, and on the other hand, it is also related to the lower power consumption of Asha501.
