OPPO Find7 Flash Charge Experience

The "VOOC Flash Charge" that came out with OPPO Find 7 is a fast charging technology independently developed by OPPO. VOOC Flash Charge, which has 16 patented technologies, can increase the fastest charging speed by more than 4 times, and has impeccable intelligent full-end five-level protection. It is the fastest and safest mobile phone charging technology in the world. In addition, OPPO customized special batteries, data cables, circuits, and interfaces, and added MCU smart chips to the adapter for the first time. On this basis, it deeply developed intelligent full-end five-level protection technology. According to the official data released previously, the direct effect of VOOC Flash Charge is that as a mobile phone with a battery capacity of 3000mAh (2800mAh for the light version), it can make calls for 2 hours after charging for 5 minutes, and it can be directly charged to 75% in 30 minutes. Mobile phone charging is nothing more than a process of using a charger, inputting 220V AC power and outputting about 5V/1A DC power to restore the battery power of the mobile phone. According to the formula power = voltage × current, many mobile phone manufacturers used to increase the charging voltage of the mobile phone, which would bring more losses, and the mobile phone would heat up very seriously. Therefore, OPPO Find 7 changed its thinking and adopted the method of increasing the current. Different from the 5V/1A charging method adopted by general manufacturers, OPPO Find 7 adopts 4.5V low voltage and 4.5A high current charging mode. In order to increase the charging current, OPPO specially designed a 7-pin charging interface, and the metal contacts on the battery were increased from 4 to 8. Not only the interface, but also the power adapter has been improved. It has a built-in smart chip to intelligently control the charging. We can also perform software upgrades on this charger later. In terms of safety, there are two levels of safety protection mechanisms designed on this charger, which can detect voltage and current, and adjust and cut off if they exceed the tolerance range. In order to adapt to high-current charging, the battery of Find 7 has also changed accordingly. The circuit in the battery also has two safety measures, which can adjust and cut off when the voltage and current are out of control. In addition, Find 7 also has "intelligent full-end five-level protection technology". In addition to the four safety measures for the charger and battery mentioned above, the fuse also uses a very primitive method, namely the fuse. When abnormal charging is found, the fuse will melt and terminate the charging process. According to our actual test, it only takes 65 minutes for the OPPO Find 7 Lite Edition 2800mAh battery to charge from 0% to 100%. The first part is constant voltage and high current charging, which is more efficient, charging about 70% in 30 minutes, which is consistent with the official data; in the last part, it automatically enters low voltage trickle charging, and the charging rate slows down.
