China Association of Automobile Manufacturers: The top ten Chinese automobile sales companies (groups) sold a total of 23.148 million vehicles in 2022

Recently, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released a data briefing showing that in 2022, the top ten companies (groups) in China's automobile sales sold a total of 23.148 million vehicles, accounting for 86.2% of the total automobile sales.

The top ten companies (groups) in terms of automobile sales in 2022 announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers are: SAIC Group, FAW Group Corporation, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, GAC Group, Changan Automobile, BYD Co., Ltd., BAIC Group, Geely Holding, Chery Automobile, and Great Wall Motor.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said that compared with the same period last year, BYD Co., Ltd. had the most obvious sales growth , Chery Automobile and GAC Group also showed rapid double-digit growth, Geely Holding and Changan Automobile increased slightly, and other companies showed declines to varying degrees.

Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show that automobile production and sales in 2022 reached 27.021 million and 26.864 million respectively, up 3.4% and 2.1% year-on-year respectively.

In terms of new energy vehicles, my country's sales of new energy vehicles reached 6.887 million units in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 93.4%. The market share reached 25.6%, 12.1 percentage points higher than the previous year.

By new energy vehicle type, sales of pure electric vehicles reached 5.365 million units in 2022, up 81.6% year-on-year; sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 1.518 million units, up 1.5 times year-on-year.
