According to the report of market research company Sino, in May, Coolpad ranked first in the TD-LTE mobile phone market share, reaching 23.1%, Samsung ranked second, with a market share of 18.8%, and Apple ranked third, with a market share of 15.7%. Lenovo, OPPO and Tianyu ranked fourth to sixth respectively, and Huawei, ZTE, Hisense and BBK ranked seventh to tenth. Sino's report mainly counted the data of China's TD-LTE mobile phone market. Since the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has only issued three TD-LTE licenses, the statistics of the TD-LTE mobile phone market have already included all the Chinese 4G mobile phone markets. As can be seen from the above, there are only two foreign brands in the top ten of the Chinese 4G mobile phone market, and these two foreign brands, Samsung and Apple, have experienced varying degrees of decline in May, with Samsung declining by nearly 6.20% and Apple declining by as much as 12.40%. This has caused Apple to fall from the top position in 4G, while the domestic brand Coolpad grew by 1.3% month-on-month last month. Although the increase seems small, it has soared to the top position in the 4G mobile phone market with the sharp decline of Samsung and Apple. It is inevitable that Apple will lose its position as the top 4G mobile phone manufacturer. In fact, Coolpad's first win in the Chinese 4G mobile phone market is a great encouragement for Chinese domestic mobile phone manufacturers, while the decline in the market share of Apple's 4G iPhone has sounded the alarm for the company, because the price of iPhone is more than 5,000 yuan, which is prohibitive for most users and cannot become the model that Chinese operators focus on promoting 4G. In fact, the signs of Apple's fall from the top position in 4G mobile phones have long been revealed. According to a report by market research company Sino, as early as March this year, Apple's share fell by as much as 18%, ranking first with a share of 40.7%. Coolpad has surpassed Samsung and jumped to second place, with its share rising from 17.2% to 26.6%, while Samsung's share fell by 3.8% to 22.6%, slipping to third place. Sino's report at the time also showed that in the single product sales ranking of the 4G mobile phone market, Coolpad 8720L's single product sales were second only to Apple iPhone 5S, and it has become the second best-selling 4G mobile phone in the current market. Obviously, domestic mobile phones led by Coolpad have seriously threatened the position of Apple's iPhone in the 4G mobile phone market, and the situation may change in the near future.
