How to watch the World Cup at home in surround sound?

At home, through simple settings, we can enjoy the World Cup in surround sound through the existing home theater equipment. Why do we need surround sound effects? In fact, friends who have watched football matches on site must have felt the cheers, boos, and even the sound of kicking the ball. So why can we only hear the commentary when we are in front of the TV, and the shouting on the scene becomes a negligible background sound? This is mainly because most TV speakers use a mono specification, which concentrates all the sounds on one channel. In order to ensure that the most basic commentary can be accurately and clearly conveyed, other live sounds can only be consciously suppressed. Therefore, in most cases, the sound we hear on TV is a point or a plane. In fact, the on-site sound engineer has 6 or even more channels to use. He can put the commentator's voice in the middle channel alone, and put other sounds in other channels, including the sound of kicking the ball and the sound of the atmosphere on the scene, so that you can not only hear the commentary at the same time, but also other live atmospheres can be input into your ears at the same time, maximizing the restoration of the live situation of the football game. And this is exactly the effect that surround sound is to achieve, which can make you feel like you are there. How is surround sound produced on the field? How is surround sound produced on the field? You may not have noticed when watching the World Cup that the staff placed several microphones at each sideline of the field, including at the corner kick. When the player takes a corner kick, the sound engineer will push the sound of the microphone in front, and you can clearly hear the sound of the kick. Surround sound microphones and stereo microphones will be set up directly above the stadium, including the four corners of the stadium. These microphones are mainly used to collect the atmosphere of the audience, giving you a panoramic sound effect, thus creating a warm atmosphere on the field. When all the sounds are collected synchronously, they will be sent to a place called the public signal. Here, all the collected sound signals will be distributed to various countries, and our CCTV will add the commentary of the front commentator after getting this signal, and then transmit it to the country via satellite for production. In fact, in addition to football matches, this technology has also been used in other events. For example, when we watch NBA, when the coach calls a timeout, you can hear the coach's voice; and when the home team attacks, you can hear very clear shouts, etc., which are all made by the same principle. How to achieve it at home From the above introduction, we already know that the sound of the World Cup games prepared by CCTV for us is so rich that it would be a pity not to experience it in person. So, how can we restore this effect at home and achieve the level of surround sound? In fact, it is very simple. First of all, the basic equipment is to have a set of common home theater products on the market, and also to have a set-top box that supports Dolby technology. For home theater equipment, it is not necessary to have those high-end products, and home theater combinations of various grades are fine. Next, you need to set the audio format of the HD set-top box to "AC-3" or "EC-3", and correctly connect the set-top box to the home theater system. Usually, use an HDMI, optical fiber or coaxial (depending on the set-top box port) transmission line to connect the set-top box and the power amplifier port to each other, and you can enjoy the shocking experience brought by surround sound.
