Hackers are happy: wearable products may become a new gold mine
The new products launched one after another at the Google Conference are dazzling, and smart watches can be said to be the most attractive. According to foreign survey reports, the sales of wearable smart products are expected to reach 10 million in 2014. However, while everyone is using new products with novelty, experts are sounding the alarm. The large-scale rise of wearable technology will bring unlimited security risks. New products are also very attractive to cyber criminals. Compared with mobile phones and computers, the data information recorded by wearable products is more private and detailed, which will allow criminals who steal data to have a deeper understanding of their target persons. Some products that have been launched on the market, such as Jawbone smart bracelets, Fitbit fitness wristbands, Nike FuelBand smart wristbands, Pebble smart watches, and smart products that may be launched in the future will record user information in great detail. Many users will wear their smart products when they go out. Once hackers break into them, they can easily find out the user's address, work, and even favorite restaurant. This may sound a bit sensational, but as Google and Apple launch smart wearable products one after another, the problems that follow will quickly become prominent. While enjoying the convenience brought by high technology, we must not ignore the corresponding risks and protect our own safety.
