Recently, Apple's iPad tablet sales have been declining. In the last quarter, iPad sales were 1.33 million units, down 9% from the same period last year, which was lower than analysts expected. According to Andreessen Horowitz analyst Benedict Evans, consumers who use iPads tend to use them for a long time, so iPad fans have a longer product replacement cycle than users of other competitors' tablets. Comparing the user figures of Android tablets released by Google with those released by Apple, Evans concluded that the iPad has a service life twice that of Android tablets. Evans said that iPads are typically used for more than two years, while Android tablets are often discarded in less than a year. Judging from the problems Apple has encountered, the useful life of the iPad seems to be too long - at least two years. In other words, for every iPad sold, there are almost more than two Android tablets. In the past two years, Apple has sold a total of 143 million iPads, and in the past three years, the cumulative sales have reached 196 million. However, Evans also admitted that his data may be missing - Google does not regularly release sales data and Android activation numbers, so this conclusion is just an estimate. But it still fits with previous rumors - once people buy an iPad, they always feel that they don't need to replace it for a long time.
