A new version of Windows 10 (Windows 10 build 10051) was leaked last weekend, which includes multiple upgraded applications. Among them, the Spartan browser has gained some new features, such as the built-in function of opening links using Internet Explorer browser.

This feature seems a bit strange. Why does Microsoft provide the function of using IE browser in Spartan browser when it is promoting it so hard? Obviously, it is for compatibility reasons. After all, Spartan browser uses the new Edge kernel, and there will inevitably be many web pages that are incompatible with Trident kernel, especially in a country where Windows XP and IE6 users still account for a large proportion... If the page does not display correctly in Spartan browser, users can use IE browser to make it display correctly.

This feature will most likely be used in corporate environments (ps: of course, there are all kinds of online banking that are always difficult). In this version of Spartan browser, users only need to click the settings icon in the upper right corner and select "Open with Internet Explorer" to choose to open the web page with Internet Explorer.

It seems that for quite a long time in the future, it will be difficult for us to say farewell to IE browser...
