Yiche.com: BYD occupies seven of the top ten domestic car sales in August 2024

Yiche.com compiled a sales ranking of domestically produced models in August. The ranking shows that BYD, as the top-selling domestic automaker, is the biggest winner, occupying seven of the top ten spots.

Specifically, BYD Seagull retained the top spot in sales of domestically produced cars in August with sales of 46,830 units; Qin Plus New Energy followed closely behind with monthly sales of 42,765 units. It has been a best-seller since its release and remains BYD's sales pillar model.

The Song Plus model ranked third, with sales of 39,799 units in August. Among the domestic new energy SUV camp, its sales volume is second only to Tesla Model Y.

Qin L, as the first model of BYD's fifth-generation hybrid DM, was hailed by netizens as an "industrial miracle". With the increase in production capacity, 35,957 units were delivered in August, ranking fourth on the list.

Haibao 06 and Qin L are "sister models". Its sales in August were close to that of Qin L, at 32,903 units, ranking fifth on the list.

With 27,046 units sold, BYD Yuan PLUS ranked sixth in the list, firmly occupying the first echelon of 100,000-class pure electric SUVs.

The seventh to ninth places are models other than the BYD brand, namely Hongguang MINI EV, Ideal L6, Wuling Bingo and other models.

BYD is still ranked tenth, with the Destroyer sold at 22,180 units in May. Although this car and Qin Plus are "the same model with a different shell", there is a gap of 20,000 units in sales between the two cars.
