Specifically, Lada's sales in August were 38,564 units, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%, and its market share in Russia was 26%.

The second to fifth places are domestic car companies such as Haval, Chery, Geely, and Changan, with monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles; from the sixth to the tenth places, except for the ninth-ranked Belgee, the other four brands are all sub-brands of Chery in Russia.

This means that Chery alone accounts for half of the top ten car companies in Russia's sales list in August, with five brands on the list. Chery's total sales volume exceeded 30,000 vehicles, second only to Russia's Lada brand.

In the top ten list of best-selling models in the Russian market, Lada has four models, Chery and Haval have two models each, and Changan and Geely Monjaro each occupy one spot.

In addition, a survey by Russian automobile analysis agency Autostat shows that as of July 1, 2024, the number of Chinese-brand passenger cars registered in Russia has reached an astonishing 1.86 million, accounting for 4% of the total Russian automobile market.

The most common Chinese brand vehicle seen on Russian streets is Chery, which has the highest number of domestically produced vehicles in Russia at 444,700.

Following closely behind is Geely Auto, which ranks second with 341,100 vehicles in use; while Haval Motors ranks third with 296,000 vehicles in use.
