No one cares if you install Windows XP on the new Core, and it can still run, because Microsoft's original intention is: the new processor must be installed with Windows 10 to get full enterprise-level support. Yes, the key lies in the three words "enterprise-level". We know that when manufacturers develop new processors, in addition to improving specifications and performance, they will continue to add various advanced features, involving security, office, multimedia, games, graphics, etc., and the performance of these functions depends on the support of the system and software. Intel and AMD also often launch some server, enterprise, and business platforms, with the purpose of providing corresponding enhanced functions for these markets with specific needs. So Microsoft's new policy is actually: if you buy a graphics workstation, server or other equipment that uses the next-generation processor platform, you must install Windows 10 (or the corresponding server version) to get Microsoft's full service support, especially to give full play to the various new features of the new platform. The operating systems of such hardware devices are pre-installed when purchased by manufacturers from Microsoft, so Microsoft's new policy is actually putting pressure on manufacturers to purchase the new Windows 10 on the one hand, and with the new system as a selling point, manufacturers are also happy to promote it. Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. have all followed Microsoft's actions, and on the other hand, it is to accelerate the promotion of Windows 10 in the enterprise field. Of course, on the Qualcomm platform, it is a mobile phone, which is no problem. No one wants to use the old system on their mobile phone, and there is no choice. For consumers such as desktops and notebooks, this policy has almost no impact, and you can still choose your favorite operating system according to your wishes. Of course, the reason why I say almost is that the latest hardware still needs the cooperation of the latest system to release its full potential, and on the old system, some advanced functions such as security encryption, multimedia decoding acceleration, and graphics rendering are either unsupported or inefficient, so if you buy a new computer, you should try to install the latest system.
