The reason is that the 8K live broadcast of Japanese TV stations is the biggest driving force. Juniper said: "With the popularity of live broadcasting and set-top boxes, 8K TV has gained the first opportunity for explosive growth. With the help of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the TV industry will vigorously package this concept." In fact, 8K TV is no longer a concept. Every year, manufacturers display their products at IFA or CES, but their prices are still far from the average consumer market. However, as manufacturers gradually accumulate technology in terms of color, brightness and contrast, the next growth point must be the explosive resolution of 8K. In addition, the industry also has its eyes on the auspicious number "8". After all, for many East Asian users, the number "4" is not auspicious, and this market is one of the most important markets for the television industry. In fact, the time node of 2020 is not Juniper’s original idea. Last year, IHS was the first to predict the explosion of 8K TVs in 2020. However, 8K TVs are in a bit of an awkward position right now. The industry has actually had relevant manufacturing technology for a long time, but ordinary users simply don’t have a living room big enough to accommodate such a giant TV. And if the size is smaller, its fineness will lose its advantage over 4K TVs.
