SMIC Financial Report: Revenue in 2024 Reaches a New High of 58.68 Billion Yuan, Capacity Utilization Rate of 85.6%

According to recent news, SMIC announced its unaudited performance report for the fourth quarter and full year of 2024 ending December 31, 2024, with encouraging performance in all aspects.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, SMIC's revenue was 16.13 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 1.7% and a significant year-on-year increase of 31.5%; the gross profit margin was 22.6%, a month-on-month increase of 2.1 percentage points and a year-on-year increase of 6.4 percentage points.

The annual revenue in 2024 was 58.68 billion yuan, which also exceeded 8 billion US dollars for the first time, a surge of 27.0% over the previous year, setting a new record ; the gross profit margin was 18%; the profit was 3.60 billion yuan, a decrease of 45.4% over the previous year, mainly due to the decline in investment income and capital income in 2024.

In 2024, SMIC's capital expenditure will be 53.57 billion yuan, and its monthly production capacity at the end of the year will be equivalent to 948,000 8-inch standard wafers. The total annual shipment volume will exceed 8 million pieces, and the average annual capacity utilization rate will be 85.6%.

SMIC expects revenue to grow 6-8% quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter of 2025, with a gross profit margin of 19-21%.
