Why is iPhone still the best choice in this era?

On January 9, the iPhone was born 10 years ago, and my ID card also expired. 10 years ago, I was a poor student with a monthly living expense of 200 yuan. 10 years later, I changed to my fourth job, and the cost of a meal might be this amount.

The birth of smartphones is a cross-era node in an era of geometric growth in science and technology. The world that took thousands of years to connect by carriage, horse and post has been rapidly connected by information in less than a decade. Smartphones have become the repeaters for us to transmit and receive thoughts. In a sense, smartphones are human IoT devices.

From the time I got my first PHS to now, I have used more than 30 mobile phones, changing three phones a year on average. When I was a student, I called it a mobile phone, which meant phone calls, text messages and MP3; now, it means intelligence, which means Internet, payment and social. I saved money to buy a contract phone, and later I bought palm and Dopod on Taobao, and I stayed in forums to change PDA topics and listen to audiobooks. I sacrificed the most precious time for learning and growth, and dedicated myself to the intelligent era in advance.

All the changes started from earning my own salary and from the iPhone's unshakable annual update. After Android and iOS were evenly matched and took over more than 95% of the global market, the development of the entire smartphone industry actually has only one scale, that is, the iPhone. Just as the scale of today's human society is capitalism. The iPhone's stimulating effect on the smartphone industry, improving the mobile Internet ecosystem, and promoting industrial design are all impeccable. It is no exaggeration to say that the ecosystem created by Apple through a closed system is unconsciously moving towards greater unity and openness.

Back to the topic, why can't we live without iPhone? Back when Dopod and Samsung's Windows Phone were still leading the trend, porting simple PC applications to PDAs was already a groundbreaking move, with the core of the move being touch. Later, with the attempts of Blackberry and Nokia, mobile phones have already begun to steal the business of PCs, and they are destined to become PCs.

In China, the year 2011 when Xiaomi was born is taken as the node. It directly opened up the Android ecosystem to fully copy iOS, seemingly providing users with a second path, but whether it is merchants, markets or users, they all know that the iPhone is the embodiment of the highest value in the technological era.

Did Android do anything wrong? No. As a competitor, Android quickly made up for the lack of technology value for those who were short of money. It followed closely or even imitated iOS devices, and its software and hardware innovations that could not be avoided all implicitly demonstrated the god-level existence of the iPhone.

In 2011, after I lost my Google Nexus, I set my sights on the OPPO Finder, which was known as the thinnest phone on the planet at the time. However, after using it for two months, I risked my life to buy an iPhone 4s. Since then, I have been completely trapped in the iOS and Mac system quagmire.

How to say it? The iPhone's perfect industrial design is the surface, and the two concepts of syncing accounts are the core. This has been an unfinished business since the birth of Windows. PCs have always had the owner's name, but there is no connotation. What if you have an iPhone? Then try Mac.

In my six years of working in the mobile Internet industry, no Android phone or tablet, or Android phone or Mac has ever achieved this perfect combination of productivity.

In 2011, an iPhone 4s sold for 5,000 yuan, and now the latest iPhone sells for nearly 7,000 yuan, which has suddenly expanded people's understanding and tolerance of 3C products. 7,000 yuan is a month's or even two months' salary for most people in my country. The iPhone has become an arcade machine, but no one has ever said anything wrong. The iPhone used to be worth a kidney, but now it has even lost its brand connotation, but it has become a symbol of the Internet spirit and is everywhere.

Why can't I leave her?

1. iOS accounts and cloud services are the strongest on the planet. I have been a fan of OnePlus, a conscientious domestic Android product, since 2014. I have used all three generations of OnePlus products, but they are essentially broken. The spiritual continuity of the products does not exist. Without accounts and synchronization, there is naturally no accumulation. The three generations of products are like trial and error and verification.

In the Android camp, Google phones pre-installed with native Android systems may have achieved this, but it is not thorough. Android allows users to make a variety of personalized changes, and users spend too much energy on changing themes, flashing the phone, and balancing memory and hardware usability.

2. The iOS system has been imitated and never surpassed. People who have never experienced iOS will naturally think that OPPO and Huawei are the kings of mobile phones. It is true that domestic mobile phone manufacturers have made enough innovations and progress and are constantly improving their brand connotations, but this cannot change the fact that they are clones. From the latest interfaces of Zuk and OPPO, the drawing of icons and interaction logic have begun to pay tribute to the iPhone nakedly. This may be the ceiling of the smartphone industry. Even iOS has made little progress from 7 to 10, not to mention the fragmented Android camp.

3. Perhaps no software developer has ever respected Android. People who are engaged in software development know that iOS is favored because of its perfect rules, clear application distribution logic, and high user quality. iPhone users are naturally treated as superior citizens. However, there are many Android versions, the user update speed is slow, and there are countless models. Even if you develop adaptations for mainstream models, you can't get more users. Therefore, the experience of many applications in iOS and Android systems is very different.

The more commonly used software can be tolerated. In fact, mainstream social and information applications have the ability to be adapted and developed based on their large user base. However, for some exquisite and niche applications, you basically can't expect a good experience on Android.

With the development of smart phones until 2016, domestic mobile phones have been constantly touching the price of more than 5,000 yuan, and seem to be competing head-on with the iPhone. Unfortunately, this is just a fantasy of manufacturers and some niche users. You can refuse to use iPhone on the grounds that you "can't get used to iPhone", or you can make a comparison on the economic level, but in the foreseeable few years, no one can deny the fact that Android is an alternative to iOS.

If you are a person who cares about productivity and efficiency, and a qualified technology citizen who is already accustomed to the mobile Internet lifestyle, then the iPhone should be a better choice for you. Protect the screen and make sure not to lose it. Within two years, it will be a reliable partner that can help you make more efficient choices.

How did I come to this conclusion? I compared 15 Android phones and 3 iPhones. There are many best Android phones, but there is only one best phone, the iPhone.
