Rendering of the Internet cafe built by Apple 20 years ago is exposed: full of technology

The impression of Internet cafes has gone through a very long process, from the initial dirty and messy to the current various high-end Internet cafes, or the emergence of Internet cafes. However, as early as 1997, Jobs had planned to build a very unique Internet cafe "Apple Cafe". Even if the concept map of the design is viewed today, it is still full of technology.

When Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, the company began to consider building a sci-fi, futuristic Internet cafe called "Apple Cafe" where people could gather to eat, drink, talk business, and use Apple computers. The company planned to cooperate with Mega Bytes and have Apple license its name and brand.

At that time, Tony Christopher, a former Disney Imagineer and founder of Landmark Entertainment Group, was responsible for designing the concept drawings for Apple Cafe. Recently, he released these renderings in an interview with Fast Company.

Jobs also participated in the design of "Apple Cafe". The reason why he chose Tony Christopher's team was that they could create an unusual retail market. Jobs wanted an idea that could connect Apple and customers together. There was an Apple computer on each table, and customers could order food, surf the Internet, watch movies, design web pages and play games.

In fact, the Internet cafe "Apple Cafe" created by Jobs is the predecessor of the current Apple Store. Judging from the design drawings, it is very different from the simple style of the current Apple Store, but the central idea has not changed, that is, to be closely connected with customers.

The design of the "Apple Cafe" took six months and was presented in a futuristic look. It was originally planned to build the first one in Los Angeles and then expand around the world, including opening branches in Paris, London, New York, and other parts of the United States, but unfortunately it did not come true.

The one that finally went online was Steve Jobs' "Apple Store". The first "Apple Store" opened in 2001 and soon spread all over the world. But this does not mean that the "Apple Cafe" will be completely closed. An Apple spokesperson once stated that if someone is willing to contact this project, they are still willing to consider it.
