Samsung admits S8 rear fingerprint sensor is bad, recommends users not to use it

Samsung officially released this year's flagship mobile phones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ last night. The super high appearance and excellent applications make it highly anticipated. However, after trying the S8, some people said, "This phone is good in every way, but the rear fingerprint is too bad." The failure here refers to the fact that the rear fingerprint recognition is too close to the lens, and users usually touch the lens when they touch it. What is even more maddening is that Samsung has set a lens cleaning prompt for the S8. The system will detect the cleanliness after the camera is started. If it is found that there are dirt such as fingerprints that affect the imaging effect, then a prompt will pop up on the screen, suggesting that the user wipe it clean before shooting . Due to the aforementioned rear fingerprint recognition position problem, users will receive this prompt almost every time they start the camera, which seriously reduces the efficiency of taking pictures. In this regard, Samsung's latest statement said that the S8 camera software does have a "lens cleaning prompt" function, and if the user does not clean it, the prompt will always exist, which may affect the user's photo experience. Samsung emphasized that if users want to avoid such embarrassment, the best way is not to use fingerprint recognition to unlock the phone, but to change to other methods, such as passwords or facial recognition .
