iQOO Z7 review: great fun, long-lasting, and powerful

Many mobile phone brands use various advanced technologies only on their flagship phones under the pretext of impacting the high-end market, and the workmanship and configuration of thousand-yuan phones have been significantly reduced.

Some time ago, a friend asked me to recommend a thousand-yuan phone that can play games smoothly and has a long battery life. I thought about it for a long time but couldn't give him a definite answer.

After the front is lit up, it is a 6.64-inch LCD hole-punch straight screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The four sides of the screen are very narrow and the screen-to-body ratio is very high. When watching videos, the viewing experience is very good.

On the right are the volume button and the power button. The 120W ultra-fast flash charging that we used to only see on flagship phones is now also available on iQOO Z7!

With the extremely power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chip and a large 5000mAh battery, the battery life performance of the iQOO Z7 will definitely not disappoint you, so let’s get straight to the actual test.

First, we drained the battery of the iQOO Z7 to only 1%, and then connected the charger directly to the phone for testing.

The actual test shows that it only took 26 minutes to fully charge the phone from 1% to 100%. The charging speed is amazing. When we go out during the day, we can temporarily plug in our phones to charge. In the time it takes to get dressed and wash our faces, we can get an almost fully charged phone.

Not only that, many friends may worry that it is inconvenient to carry a 120W charger out, but in fact the charger of iQOO Z7 is very small.

Unlike other large chargers, the iQOO Z7 charger weighs only 130g, which is about the same size as our common 30W charger.

In addition, iQOO Z7 also supports integrated fast charging. Even if you don’t use the built-in charger, you can still achieve the fastest charging power of 30W with other chargers that support fast charging. The data cable and charging head that come with Z7 support the highest 65W PD protocol and can charge other products that support this protocol.

The extra-large battery equivalent to 5000mAh is also a magic tool that completely eliminated my battery anxiety during the experience!

Playing "Honor of Kings" at full high definition for 20 minutes only consumed 6% of the battery; playing 4K online video at full high brightness for 1 hour only consumed 8% of the battery.

Then I browsed Weibo, WeChat, and Tik Tok for a total of 2 hours, and at full high brightness, it only consumed 18% of the battery.

The version we got is the top-end version, with 12GB + 256GB and memory fusion 3.0 technology, so there is no need to worry about insufficient memory or storage.

The 3K ultra-large VC heat spreader gives the iQOO Z7 a heat dissipation capability comparable to that of a gaming phone, so it won’t get hot no matter how long you play.

But words are not enough, let’s do some actual testing!

The AnTuTu benchmark score was 592870 points, the GeekBench 5 single-core score was 870 points, and the multi-core score was 2930 points.

AndroBench random read and write speeds are up to 252MB/s and 256MB/s respectively.

The test data is at a very strong level.

Next, we tested the game "Honor of Kings" just now. We still kept the full brightness, full high quality, and full high frame rate this time to see if the 120 frame rate of "Honor of Kings" can be won by iQOO Z7~

After three consecutive tests, I found that the iQOO Z7 is really powerful. The lowest average frame rate is 119.7 fps, and the highest even soars to 125 fps.

Whether it's Zhong Li's big move or Li Bai's ganking, the iQOO Z7 is so smooth that it makes me feel like I'm watching a cartoon.

Thanks to the presence of a 3K ultra-large area heat sink, the temperature of the phone did not make me feel hot throughout the entire process.

I have to say that iQOO Z7 is really a standard gaming machine.

Camera-focused camera: 64 megapixels, the best camera

Many of you may think that a thousand-yuan phone may have strong performance and good battery life, but it must not be good at taking photos?

Continuing to look at the dark light scenes, the iQOO Z7 has equally excellent resolution. Although there is some noise in the picture, the overall color level and brightness are very good, and the details are still beautifully restored.

To be honest, as a thousand-yuan phone, it is somewhat unexpected that the iQOO Z7 camera can perform so well. It really uses its strength to eliminate our previous prejudices against thousand-yuan phones. As a camera-only phone for most ordinary consumers, it is completely OK!
