Around 3pm this afternoon, Apple CEO Tim Cook opened a Weibo account. In just half an hour, his Weibo followers had grown to around 140,000. Hello China! Happy to be back in Beijing, announcing innovative new environmental programs. The "innovative new environmental project" mentioned in Tim Cook's Weibo refers to a cooperation plan between Apple and the World Wildlife Fund to significantly increase China's "responsibly managed forests" resources. The project is committed to protecting nearly one million acres of responsibly managed forests, which are raw materials for fiber pulp, paper and wood products, and are also an important source of Apple product packaging boxes. This is not the first time that Apple has launched an environmental protection project. As early as three weeks ago, Apple established its first solar power generation project in Sichuan. The clean energy produced by this project can supply the electricity needed by all of Apple's offices and retail stores in China. In addition, Apple has partnered with Leshan Electric Power Co., Ltd., Sichuan Development (Holdings) Co., Ltd., Tianjin Jinlian Investment Holding Co., Ltd., Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and SunPower Corporation of the United States to build two 20-megawatt solar farms. The two farms will produce 80 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year, roughly equivalent to the electricity consumption of 61,000 Chinese households.
Although they have said so much, in fact, netizens do not seem to be interested in "environmental protection". They are concerned about the following: Genius Red Panda: Hello Mr. Cook, I have a few Weibo posts I want to share with you. IIECHOOOOOO: Why don't you use Plus[doge][doge] Sakura——-Chibi Maruko-chan: Without further ado, let's organize a few people to share and win an iPhone to show our sincerity. MoyunMamba: Retweet and get a full set of Apple products, proven to be effective |
