Google's self-developed system Fuchsia OS exposed: extremely smooth

Google is currently secretly developing a new cross-platform operating system, Fuchsia OS, which abandons the Linux underlying system and uses its own kernel.

Judging from the initial experience, this system is still relatively rudimentary and not even as complete as Android 1.0.

According to 9to5google, Raph Levien, a member of the Fuchsia OS team, said he is developing Xi, a text/code editor that can be used on Fuchsia OS and all desktop platforms.

Levien emphasized that the characteristics of Xi*** are performance priority and strong scalability, so the algorithm and structural challenges behind it are also surprisingly high.

He introduced that the code on Fuchsia OS must run fast at all costs.

It seems that Google is determined to make Fuchsia OS an OS with extremely strong compatibility and superb fluency from the inside out.

According to Google's earlier statement, Fuchsia aims to unify Android and Chrome OS. It supports up to 4 programs running simultaneously on the same screen (in tablet mode), and the homepage displays various story cards, application sets, system components, etc. in a vertical manner, which is somewhat similar to the multi-tasking and multi-tab approach, but more concise.

In addition, Fuchsia also supports Apple's Swift language.

In fact, with the help of large memory, Android 8.0 terminal products are already very good in program loading and multi-tasking. Compared with iOS 11, it is comparable or even ahead in many aspects.

However, with the advancement of hardware and the penetration of AI technology, a smarter OS that better understands consumers is the real secret of "speed".
