A type of white blood cell called helper T lymphocyte is the main target of HIV. After HIV enters the cell, it will replicate a large number of new viruses. After the new HIV viruses are synthesized, they will leave the T cell that has been killed and then look for other cells and infect them.

In this way, after all the T cells are slowly killed, the human immune system is destroyed, making the body easily invaded by foreign bacteria and viruses, resulting in a variety of incurable infections and tumors.
