The Information and Communications Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a notification on apps that infringe on user rights (the first batch in 2020) on Friday. A total of 16 apps were on the list, including Dangdang, Zhihu Daily, eDaijia, etc. In the announcement, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that it will organize third-party testing agencies to inspect mobile phone applications in the near future and urge companies with problems to make rectifications. As of now, 16 apps have not yet completed rectification (see the attachment for details). The above apps should complete the rectification work before May 25. If they fail to do so within the deadline, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize relevant disposal work in accordance with laws and regulations. |
