Firefox for Android makes a big leap forward: users will switch to the new "Fenix" version by default

The old version of Firefox for Android platform received its last update today. In the next release cycle (next month), Mozilla will switch users to the new version of the browser by default. The internal code name of the new version of Firefox is "Fenix", but it will still be called "Firefox" after it is officially launched to users. The company's new version of Firefox has been polished for more than a year, and its functions have become more and more complete.

Although Firefox for desktop is now at version 79, it has remained at Firefox 68 on the Android platform. This version was launched on July 9, 2019, and compared with Chrome and other browsers on Android systems, Firefox 68 has begun to look very old.

The new version of Firefox browser uses GeckoView, which provides faster browsing speed and better browsing experience. Compared with Firefox 68, it has undergone a thorough transformation in appearance and experience.
