Android WeChat 8.0.2 official version released: 7 surprising changes

After more than a week of internal testing, WeChat released the official version 8.0.2 for Android today.

Although the official update log has the same unchanging sentence of " fixing some known issues ", according to the previous beta version, the new version has at least 7 changes.

1. The payment interface is flatter.

2. Long press the desktop icon to pop up a shortcut menu , including three shortcut options: My QR Code, Down Payment, and Scan.

3. A new way to unfollow a public account is to click the three dots in the upper right corner of the public account homepage and select from the pop-up menu, or click the person icon.

4. The video account and the official account are interconnected. You can bind the official account of the same administrator through the account management in the video account to display and recommend each other.

5. The live broadcast "Friends are watching" is changed to "Recommendation", and corresponding content is pushed according to browsing habits.

6. To join the game live broadcast, enter the live broadcast page from the video account and you can see the icon in the upper right corner. Currently only "Honor of Kings" and "Game for Peace" are supported.

7. An “Activity” option is added to the video account release page, and viewers can directly participate in the host’s activities through the link.

In addition, the new version also optimizes some small details and fixes many bugs, including Bluetooth issues, mini-program optimization, and mini-game performance improvement.
