Today, Apple officially launched the official version of iOS 14.5. This update is of great significance to the industry because privacy collection disclosure will be a mandatory action for software developers, which is bound to change the rules of the game in the current industry. According to foreign media 9to5mac, the new feature will allow users to choose not to be tracked by third-party apps, but for some users, this switch is grayed out even after installing iOS 14.5, which makes people confused about how the new feature works. Logically, this feature will be enabled by default after a system upgrade. However, many users did not receive corresponding adjustments after installing iOS 14.5. 9to5mac said the behavior appears to be related to the "Personalized ads" option, which can also be found in the privacy settings. The new "App Tracking Transparency" setting was available when users enabled the option before updating their iPhone or iPad to iOS 14.5. However, on devices that turned off the "Personalized Ads" option, the control was grayed out after the update. It is unclear whether this is an intended behavior or a bug. Apple has not yet responded to this situation. |
