As a national-level APP, Alipay has brought great convenience to our daily lives, but it can also be a bit "tiring" to use.

When you use a service, there are often pop-up ads. When you leave, you will often receive pop-up reminders asking you whether to "leave cruelly", which is very uncomfortable to use.

This operation triggered collective complaints from netizens, and even more than 90% of netizens believed that APP ad pop-ups should be cancelled.

In response, Ant Group said that it has vigorously rectified Alipay's marketing pop-ups in the past two months, especially eliminating meaningless retention pop-ups, which is another measure of the "Ant 315" special action to protect consumer rights. So far, the governance has achieved initial results, with the average daily number of marketing pop-ups reduced by 70%.

The relevant person in charge of "Ant 315" introduced that the management of pop-up windows in Alipay was launched in April this year. Except for necessary pop-up reminders such as service upgrades of product functions and information authorization, the other marketing pop-ups are vigorously regulated and rectified, including reducing the number and frequency of pop-up windows so as not to disturb users; there must be an obvious button to close the pop-up windows so as not to mislead users; gradually eliminate retention pop-ups, allowing users to exit with one click, etc.

"We should respect the user's right to leave a page. Whether it is 'cruelly leaving' or 'think about it', it violates the rights of users to a certain extent. Alipay is gradually eliminating such retention pop-ups that are of no value to users and effectively protecting the rights of consumers. At present, the number of marketing pop-ups in Alipay has been reduced by 70% on a daily basis, but this is not enough. We will continue to promote relevant rectification and continuously improve user experience."

It is reported that "Ant 315" has also formulated a relevant punishment mechanism. Once a pop-up window violates the regulations, it will be taken offline for rectification, and the relevant team may even be banned from showing pop-ups for up to 30 days.
