Google launches game dashboard and 3-speed game mode API for Android 12

July 13 news Google held a game developer summit yesterday and launched new tools and solutions to make game development on Android and Chrome operating systems easier, and brought gaming improvements such as “download and play” to Android 12.

In addition, Google has developed a "Game Dashboard" and "3-speed Game Mode" API for Android 12.

As many domestic mobile phone manufacturers currently have, Android 12 will bring a game dashboard function that allows users to customize various parameters of game operation.

Android 12's gaming dashboard offers screen recording, screenshots, FPS monitor, and a do not disturb button. These tools can be accessed through a floating window without exiting the game.

The Do Not Disturb button will not affect the global Do Not Disturb setting. Instead, Do Not Disturb will only be enabled when the game is in the foreground. When the game is closed or put in the background, Do Not Disturb will be restored to its original settings.

In addition, the game dashboard provides three additional options: performance mode adjustment, a button to live broadcast the game on YouTube, and a Google Play game data widget.

Users can choose from three performance profiles: Performance, Standard, and Power Saving Mode. Once selected, the system will remember the performance configuration for the game, and there is no need to reset it the next time you open the game.

When users launch the game, a message notification at the bottom will tell users whether Do Not Disturb mode is turned on, and whether Performance or Battery Saver mode is applied.
