Some iPhone 13 users reported that the new MagSafe Wallet could not connect to Find My

According to foreign media macrumors, while launching the new iPhone 13 models, Apple also launched an updated version of MagSafe Wallet with Find My built-in. The new MagSafe Wallet is designed to be easier to find when it slips off the iPhone or falls out of your pocket, but some users of the new MagSafe Wallet are unable to connect to Find My.

According to information on Reddit, affected users are unable to get the proper Find My pop-up when connecting a MagSafe Wallet to their iPhone. The issue seems to be affecting iPhone 13 models specifically, though there have been some complaints from iPhone 12 users as well.

As demonstrated in the hands-on video below, the MagSafe Wallet should automatically connect to Find My when connected to an iPhone, but it didn't work at all for some people.

Some users have had success with that method after being directed by Apple Technical Support to delete the network settings, but others say it doesn't work.

Reddit user EndlessApology was told by Apple Technical Support to take the more drastic step of putting his iPhone into Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode to reinstall the operating system using a Mac.

DFU mode has been largely successful for most Reddit users who have tried to fix the issue, but it's a huge hassle that shouldn't be necessary for a simple accessory pairing process. Apple is aware of the issue, so there's a chance there will be a fix in a future update.

For now, users who want MagSafe to work right away should try resetting the network settings option, and if that doesn't work, reinstall iOS 15 using the DFU method.
