After Huawei's exit, Apple has once again taken the top spot. Do domestic mobile phone manufacturers dare to remain content with the status quo?

There is no doubt that Apple is the biggest winner in the Chinese market this year. Apple, which has not topped the Chinese market for six years, has dominated various sales charts for several consecutive months since the release of iPhone 13.

If nothing unexpected happens, Apple will definitely take the sales champion this year. After Huawei's fall, Xiaomi's development momentum has also slowed down. Many people are worried that the Chinese mobile phone market may once again see Apple's dominance and return to the era of Apple's dominance. In fact, this is not alarmist. From the data, we can see that the situation of the domestic mobile phone market is not optimistic.

Apple's share in November is close to half

Last month can be said to be a bloody month in the domestic mobile phone market. In addition to the year-end approaching, all manufacturers are busy rushing to achieve performance, and last month also experienced the most important Double Eleven. Every Double Eleven will usher in a mobile phone promotion war, and everyone will do their best to strive for better sales during Double Eleven. In the past few years, the domestic Double Eleven was basically dominated by Xiaomi, because Xiaomi itself has an outstanding price-performance ratio, and Xiaomi can always beat other manufacturers in price cuts during Double Eleven, so Xiaomi has always maintained an impressive performance during Double Eleven.

Last year, Xiaomi even took 7 of the top 10 spots in the mobile phone sales rankings during the Double 11 shopping festival, shocking many domestic netizens. However, what was unexpected was that this year, Xiaomi did not hold on to its championship spot. Apple, which had been out of the top five for many years, made a comeback and became the top seller in the mobile phone market this year.

Not only that, throughout November, Apple took up 42.4% of the domestic market, almost half of the domestic market, while Xiaomi, which has always been invincible in November, ranked second in the country with only 28.2% of the market popularity. Huawei, which was blocked by American technology, had a very bleak sales volume due to the lack of 5G network and its own production decline due to supply chain problems and many other reasons, and only took up 2.4% of the market share.

Apple dominates the market in October

At the beginning of last month, JD.com released the October mobile phone sales ranking data. Everyone was surprised to find that the top four of the top five sales were occupied by Apple models, namely iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 Pro. Among them, the best-selling iPhone 13 sold 1.7128 million units in October alone. This number is very amazing, higher than the sales of all models of many domestic manufacturers combined.

The Redmi K40, which barely made it into the top five, sold only 438,600 units, which is only about 1/4 of the sales of the iPhone 13. It can be seen that almost no one can shake Apple's position in the domestic mobile phone market in October. After Huawei's withdrawal, the 6th to 10th places on the sales list are almost all occupied by various models of Xiaomi and Redmi, but despite this, the total sales of the 6th to 10th places are not as high as the sales of the iPhone 13.

According to the data, the top five brands in the sales list in October were Apple, OPPO, vivo, Honor, and Xiaomi. However, among these brands, only Apple's sales increased significantly compared to last year, with a year-on-year growth of 155%. The sales of OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi all declined to varying degrees, especially Xiaomi, which declined by 25.8%. It can be seen that the market share lost by Xiaomi was basically taken away by Apple.

Huawei has fallen out of the top five for several consecutive months

Although Huawei has made unremitting efforts to save itself - in recent months, Huawei has released several flagships such as the Huawei P50 series and the Huawei Nova 8 series, but in the end, the sales were mediocre and did not cause much sensation. So far, Huawei's sales have fallen out of the top five in the domestic market for several consecutive months. It can be seen that the problems brought to Huawei by unstable supply and the lack of 5G network cannot be underestimated.

At present, Huawei's market share is still declining. If this trend cannot be alleviated, the cold winter is really approaching for Huawei. After Huawei's fall, the domestic mobile phone market seems to have lost a domestic brand that can compete with Apple, which is very dangerous for China's mobile phone industry.

To alleviate this situation, other domestic mobile phone manufacturers must take the banner of technology research and development from Huawei. Being content with the status quo will only allow Apple to act recklessly in the domestic market. Fortunately, Yu Chengdong has already made a bold statement that "Huawei will come back strongly in 2023". This sentence is like a shot of adrenaline, giving everyone hope. I hope we can see the day when Huawei regains the domestic market.

Summarize

Judging from various signs, Apple has made great efforts to regain its dominance in the domestic market this time, and domestic mobile phone brands may face a tough battle. However, this is an inevitable hurdle for domestic mobile phone brands. If they want to regain the initiative in the domestic market, they must defeat Apple head-on. Only in this way can they gain recognition from the market and consumers. However, the only way to defeat Apple is to improve technology, so for domestic mobile phone brands, the road to defeating Apple is long and arduous.

After Huawei's exit, Apple has once again taken the top spot. Do domestic mobile phones still dare to rest on their laurels?
