iOS 17.4 update, added battery cycle count!

This morning, Apple pushed the iOS 17.4 Beta 4 update, with the update version number 21E5209b. It also pushed beta versions such as iPadOS 17.4 Beta 4, macOS 14.4 Beta 4, and watchOS 10.4 Beta 4.

After upgrading to iOS 17.4 Beta 4, the battery information of the iPhone 15 series models has been moved to "Settings-Battery-Battery Health". New battery information has been added here, and you can view the generation date, first use, and cycle count.

In addition, Apple also explains the battery parameters in the support document: Under ideal conditions, the batteries of iPhone 14 and earlier models can retain 80% of their original capacity after 500 full charge cycles; under ideal conditions, the batteries of iPhone 15 models can retain 80% of their original capacity after 1,000 full charge cycles.

In other words, the new iPhone 15 series has a more durable battery than previous models. Apple also said that they are consistently improving iPhone battery components and power management systems.

iOS 17.4 RC is expected to be released on February 28, and the official version of iOS 17.4 is expected to be released around March 5.

In addition to iOS 17.4, there is also the latest news about the new iPhone 16.

According to recent news, the new color scheme of iPhone 16 Pro may include one of the two options: "Desert Titanium" and "Titanium Gray".

Foreign whistleblower Majin Bu said that "Desert Titanium" will be similar to the gold option offered on the 2022 iPhone 14 Pro, but darker and heavier. On the other hand, "Titanium Gray" is similar to the Space Gray offered on the 2014 iPhone 6.

Recently, according to Majin Bu, a whistleblower on the Internet, he shared a set of suspected iPhone 16 series rear camera hardware modules based on his sources. From the pictures, the iPhone 16 rear camera lens module is arranged vertically, which is different from the design of the iPhone 11. The new model uses an oval base with the flash located on the right side of the base.

Last year, the iPhone 15 Pro used titanium for the first time, offering four colors: primary, blue, black, and white, but never the traditional gold version. Therefore, it seems reasonable for the iPhone 16 Pro to re-explore the gold tone in color design.

In addition, Apple may hold a spring conference in March or April this year, with the new iPad Pro and Air as the protagonists, but it is not ruled out that an additional color will be added to the iPhone 15/15 Pro as in previous years.
