On February 25, a press conference of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council was held in Beijing, introducing that 27 provinces have resumed passenger routes as of now. So, which 27 provinces are they?

Fan Zhenyu, deputy director of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Transport, said that as of February 24, 27 provinces had resumed inter-provincial and intra-provincial passenger bus lines or chartered buses. In particular, 26 provinces, including Zhejiang and Fujian, have done a solid and orderly job in organizing chartered buses for migrant workers to return to work while ensuring that epidemic prevention and control measures are in place. Since the Spring Festival, a total of about 477,000 migrant workers have been transported.

1. When will passenger transport in Yunnan Province resume?

According to the official account of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transportation on February 13, it was decided that urban public transportation, rural passenger transportation, and chartered buses for migrant workers would be resumed from February 12, scheduled passenger transportation and bus station operations within the province would be resumed from February 14, and inter-provincial scheduled passenger transportation would be steadily resumed from February 21.

On February 16, the Hunan Provincial Road Transport Administration Bureau learned that at present, all 142 second-level and above passenger stations in the province have resumed operations, and a total of 2,673 routes have been restored in 14 cities and 121 counties and districts in the province.

3. When will passenger transport in Anhui Province resume?

On February 17, it was learned from the press conference held by the Office of the Leading Group for Epidemic Prevention and Control of Anhui Province on "Strengthening Scientific Prevention and Control of the Epidemic and Promoting the Safe and Orderly Reopening of Enterprises" that Anhui has resumed road passenger transport in an orderly manner, and the resumption of road passenger transport within cities and counties will be decided by local governments.

At 11:00 on February 16, the route from Lanzhou South Bus Station to Linxia resumed operation, and the route from Linxia West Bus Station to Lanzhou resumed operation. Passenger bus routes from Yumen Bus Station to Qingquan Township and Yumen Old Town have resumed operation. Six counties (districts) in Qingyang have resumed operation of county-to-county direct routes, while routes to Lanzhou, Xi'an, Yinchuan and other cities are yet to be determined. Starting from February 17, Wudu Bus Company fully resumed operations of all bus routes. At the same time, Zhangye City will resume the operation of Bus Routes 1 and 19 starting from the 17th, and other routes will also be gradually resumed in the near future.

5. When will passenger transport in Guizhou Province resume?

According to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation, as of 18:00 on February 16, Guizhou has removed 1,976 urban and rural transportation quarantine points, including 467 highway quarantine points. Checkpoints will no longer be set up between cities, prefectures, counties, and villages, and traffic within the province has been fully restored. At present, the quarantine points leading to airports and high-speed rail stations in Guizhou Province are operating normally, and inter-provincial long-distance bus routes have not yet resumed. The next step will be to further open road transportation to promote the resumption of work and production.

6. When will passenger transport in Hangzhou resume?

On February 16, according to the official Weibo of the Information Office of the People's Government of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the Hangzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau issued a notice stating that from 0:00 on February 17, Hangzhou's urban public transportation and urban road passenger transportation will resume normal operations.

In addition, Fan Zhenyu pointed out that the transportation industry is currently actively cooperating with the public security and other relevant departments to implement differentiated policies according to the risk levels in different regions to ensure the smooth operation of the road network, and is restoring road transportation and urban public transportation in an orderly manner. Judging from the operation of the road network, the national highway traffic volume has rebounded significantly. From February 16 to 22, the passenger and freight traffic on the expressways reached 63.44 million and 22.25 million vehicles, respectively, up 95.4% and 136% from the previous week. The cross-sectional traffic volume of passengers and trucks on ordinary national and provincial roads increased by 37.2% and 27.7% respectively compared with last week, and this growth momentum is still continuing. From the perspective of urban public transportation, as of February 24, 115 prefecture-level cities and 158 county-level cities have resumed ground public transportation, and 505 cities continue to provide ground public transportation services, accounting for 71.3% of the total number of cities. Rail transit in 35 cities is operating normally, and is doing its best to meet residents' travel needs while ensuring effective epidemic prevention and control.

He further pointed out that in order to meet the needs of epidemic prevention and control, transportation departments at all levels across the country have cooperated with local health departments to set up health quarantine stations at provincial boundaries, service areas, entrances and exits, ordinary national and provincial trunk lines, passenger stations, and passenger terminals on highways. As of February 24, the number of health quarantine stations across the country had been reduced by about 9,000 from approximately 17,000 on February 20, and there are still about 8,000 health quarantine stations carrying out epidemic prevention and control work.
