On August 10, McDonald's announced on Weibo that no PFASs (perfluorinated and polyfluorinated compounds) were added to the food packaging materials used by McDonald's in China, which fully complies with relevant national standards. Please rest assured.

According to media reports, a recent report released overseas stated that the toxic substance PFAS was detected in food packaging of major fast food restaurants such as McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's. PFAS are a class of chemicals that have been linked to cancer, liver damage, thyroid disease and developmental problems.
