1. What is on the list of lockdown areas in Pudong, Shanghai?

In accordance with the unified deployment requirements of the Shanghai COVID-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group Office on carrying out a new round of nucleic acid screening in the city, the entire Pudong New Area will implement strict lockdown management for four days starting from 5:00 on March 28, during which two nucleic acid tests will be carried out with at least 24 hours between them.

2. When will the lockdown area in Pudong, Shanghai be lifted?

According to the latest regulations, the blockade area in Pudong, Shanghai will be lifted at 5 a.m. on April 1. The following are relevant measures:

1. Except for nucleic acid sampling at designated locations during designated time periods according to the unified organization and arrangement of the street, town, community (village group), all personnel are not allowed to leave their homes without permission to engage in outdoor activities in the community (village group) such as corridors, underground garages, and open-air areas (including walking, exercising, walking pets, gathering to chat, smoking and drying clothes, etc.). Neighbors are not allowed to visit each other, gather, have dinner together, shake hands, linger, or make small talk.

2. Personnel who are responsible for epidemic prevention tasks and ensure basic operations of government agencies and institutions, medical personnel, epidemic prevention personnel, public security officers, food delivery couriers, etc. who are required for work, can travel normally with their work permit or unit certificate or issued pass, but they must enter and exit point-to-point.

3. For the sake of their own and others' epidemic prevention safety, residents (villagers) who participate in voluntary epidemic prevention services in their communities (villages) must have received at least two doses of vaccine and must hold a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours before they can go out to work.

4. Those who really need to leave their homes or communities (villages) must strictly implement the three-piece epidemic prevention kit and five additional protective equipment requirements and measures throughout the entire process.

5. All personnel should order takeout and express delivery in moderation based on the principle of daily necessities. They are not allowed to leave their homes to pick up takeout and express delivery without permission, and they are not allowed to have direct contact with takeout and couriers. Delivery couriers are not allowed to enter residential communities (villages and groups). The takeaway and express deliveries that are basic necessities for life must be collected and delivered to the recipients' doorsteps by the epidemic prevention workers or volunteers in the community (village and group).

6. Residents (villagers) who have urgent needs such as emergency medical treatment can contact their family doctors or their neighborhood (village) committees or street towns for assistance. The street towns and neighborhood (village) committees will respond in a timely manner and provide necessary service guarantees.

7. Those who refuse to cooperate in implementing the above-mentioned epidemic prevention measures without justifiable reasons, hinder epidemic prevention and control, or cause other serious consequences will be held accountable for their corresponding legal responsibilities in accordance with the law.
