The resurgence of the epidemic in March caught people off guard. Faced with work suspension and life difficulties, live streaming has become a new source of income for them and a channel to solve problems. Xinbochang visited some live broadcast rooms that have quickly attracted attention on Douyin recently. Among them, there are couples who support a clothing account, some people rely on video editing to distribute goods, and some companies start recruiting...

It is worth noting that although these accounts are different in type and content, they have one thing in common: they can also have high returns with zero investment.

1. Men's clothing live streaming merchant Ake: "Family workshop", average daily profit exceeds 3,000

Ake has been running an offline clothing business for more than five years. He was locked up at home in mid-to-late February this year. The large monthly fixed expenses of mortgage and rent weighed on his mind, and the suspension of work forced him to explore other income channels.

In order to transfer his advantages to the online world, he turned his attention to live streaming.

He spent 20,000 yuan to buy a set of live broadcast equipment and converted the room into a temporary live broadcast studio. The products he broadcast were men's clothing sold in his own physical store, with an average customer order value of around 100-200 yuan. The host was his wife, and he was responsible for the backend shelving and data monitoring.

"It's mainly based on free natural traffic." Ake said, for example, the common way for new accounts to play in the live broadcast square is to trigger the platform's recommendation mechanism for the live broadcast room through multiple indicators such as the users' stay, likes, and comments in the live broadcast room, so that the account can be quickly exposed to the front and attract potential users to enter.

At the same time, they will maintain the update of two short videos a day , shot by Ake, showing simple clothing, and the length of the video is generally around 10-15 seconds, in order to attract traffic to the live broadcast room , "and not waste any other traffic."

Ake told Xinbochang that although the live broadcast room is not very popular, with an average of only about 10 people online, they have seen profits in the nearly one month since the start of the live broadcast. " The daily profit can reach more than 3,000, and it is still very stable."

As for the supply of goods, they do not stock up, but communicate with familiar supply chain factories to do drop shipping. "There is no need to stock up, and the pressure is much less than when we were in a physical store."

Another clothing account merchant also told Xinbochang that since they tried live streaming, sometimes after a few hours of broadcasting, the number of people entering the live broadcast room does not exceed 20. "Most of the time, there are only dozens of people (watching online), but it is not a problem to complete dozens of orders a day." He said that although it is a new anchor, "but we feel that it is okay to have such a conversion rate with 0 votes."

After opening Douyin and searching for men's clothing, Xinbochang found that many accounts currently have words such as "manufacturer produced" and "directly sold from the source" in their homepage profiles.

2. Online recruitment of anchors, 3%-5% conversion rate

The golden March and silver April recruitment seasons in the past seem to have lost their charm this year, but just recently, many companies have started live recruitment on Douyin.

Du Yao, the operator in charge of recruitment at Sikai Media, told Xinbochang that they started trying the live broadcast recruitment business in mid-February this year.

"Because offline recruitment has great geographical limitations, we try online recruitment, mainly for those who want to be anchors but have no professional training institutions in their local area." Du Yao added, " It just so happens that Douyin has opened up this model (corporate accounts hanging on Xiaofengche)."

Search for the new broadcast site and enter the "Sikai Media" live broadcast room. A large screen is placed in the scene, on which are some secrets about recruiting anchors, operations, photographers and other positions. A staff member explains the recruitment requirements and interacts with users, while the other staff members' attention is on their computers or mobile phones.

A "Live Broadcast Room Recruiting Anchors" window pops up at the small windmill in the lower right corner of the screen. Click "Join Now" to see relevant information about Sikai Company, including basic information of the guild, agency star rating, incremental revenue data per anchor, etc. Users can apply to join through the small windmill and communicate directly with the guild operators in the background.

" This account is designed to create hot topics ." According to Du Yao, in addition to the regular job introductions, several operators who appear on the show are required to perform different dances when they receive various gifts such as sunglasses. This entertaining interactive method has also attracted many users to the live broadcast room.

"From the beginning of the live broadcast to now, there has been no streaming, and the number of online viewers can reach more than 2,000, with an average communication rate of 3-5%."

In addition to this group broadcast account, Sikai Media has also launched an anchor account "Xiao Yu (anchor training)", which is hosted by "yero Yu Ge", a veteran anchor with 7 years of live broadcast experience. The live broadcast and short video content are mainly about sharing his own live broadcast experience. The account released its first video on March 17, and the total number of fans currently exceeds 6,000.

Du Yao said that currently both of Sikai's accounts are used for live broadcast recruitment, covering anchors, operations and other related positions. In a communication list on March 19 that he showed, one-third of the anchors successfully joined .

In addition to this type of live recruitment account, there are also a number of live broadcast rooms related to live broadcast operations, live broadcast equipment, etc., which also communicate with users and provide business services through the small windmill function of the enterprise account.

For example, in the live broadcast room of the account "Huasheng Film and Television Maker" , there will be professionals to answer live broadcast questions in each show. In the lighting debugging special session, in addition to asking questions in the live broadcast room, users can also make an appointment through Xiaofengche for the "live broadcast room lighting design" online service, which costs 2,999 yuan, and get the equipment list, lighting design and one-to-one debugging service provided by it. Currently, more than 60 people have purchased this service.

3. Editing account Mumu: Routine to attract money, small store distribution to earn commissions

Just by shooting the title page of the book and matching it with background music that matches the text, and using the shared app Toy Story to earn a few hundred yuan in commission for a video with less than 1,000 likes, Mumu started to create an editing account in February to earn some pocket money, and now has over 10,000 followers.

Mumu told Xinbochang that this type of video is easy to edit. Just find some recent popular literary works, inspirational books, or books recommended by big Vs on the show. " Keep updating 3-4 times a day, and generally one of them will go viral every three or four days."

In this regard, an industry insider said, "This ability to quickly create an account and realize monetization in a short period of time is already very good for personal accounts." However, some industry insiders believe that the conversion rate is actually not high, the content routines are easy to identify, and the low stickiness of fans makes it difficult to have sustained purchasing power.

In addition to this type of title page account, there are also some editing accounts that move different video content from TV dramas, documentaries, variety shows, etc., and simply splice them into a complete video with a purchase link, which can earn good views and commission income.

A person who does film and television editing told Xinbochang, "I edited a few clips from "The Debaters" and added some golden quotes about marriage and education. It can go viral without any traffic."

In addition, with the accelerated development of Douyin’s group buying business at the beginning of this year, group buying experts have also received more and more attention.

An expert who started doing group buying in early February told Xinbochang, "Due to the epidemic, I have only been doing store visits for more than half a month. Now the content of my account is to stitch together the videos shot by merchants, add subtitles or transitions, and the effect is quite good."

He said that especially during the epidemic, many users who stayed at home were happy to place orders when there were group buying discounts, "thinking that they could check in after the lockdown was lifted." In a video with more than 20,000 views shown by the expert, the group buying transaction amount was nearly 30,000 yuan, "I made more than 2,000 yuan from a single video."

In general, this type of zero-investment account has a low threshold and a fast growth rate, and it does provide new development opportunities for many people, but there are also problems such as low quality of some content and serious homogeneity.

But it is worth affirming that in a market environment where traffic costs are rising, more and more merchants and operators are using their own ways to improve conversion rates and strive to seize traffic dividends.
