Making software for Mac? What is Hammer trying to do?

It's Thursday. I haven't written an article for almost a week. I feel a little anxious. I was busy last weekend and didn't write any articles. I don't have time these days. Although I have a theme, it makes a big difference whether I have a draft or not. Readers often ask me on WeChat, "The pictures are nice. Have you been working overtime recently?", "Take care of yourself so that you can write more articles!"

The greeting was considerate, but the meaning was conveyed. Anxiety. To overcome my anxiety, I consulted an expert in this area, Qiu Erye, a product manager in Hangzhou. I asked him, how did you manage not to update for a long time and feel at ease? Erye said, in fact, I also feel guilty, but you know, I have a very good psychological quality, so I can withstand the storm. Hearing this, I was dejected and defeated.

No one said anything when we recruited front-end developers, because the entire industry was short of front-end developers; no one said anything when we recruited PHP programmers, because PHP is the best programming language in the world; no one said anything when we recruited Android developers, because all Chinese mobile phone manufacturers were looking for Android developers...

But why are you hiring Mac App developers? Aren't you an Android phone manufacturer? Why are you making software for Mac users? Tell me, what is your intention?

If you ask too many questions, it will become a real problem. Even job applicants will have similar questions. In fact, things are not that complicated. Smartisan Technology is positioned as a company that manufactures mobile Internet terminal devices and provides users with various Internet services and software services. There is no smart device manufacturer that relies solely on hardware to conquer the world. Each manufacturer is building its own ecosystem in order to provide users with the best user experience through software, hardware, and Internet services.

No one can keep users with a machine that is cold in winter and warm in summer. Apple is able to retain a large number of users not only through hardware such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac, but also by providing users with the best software and services around these hardware.

The same is true for Smartisan Technology. In addition to existing mobile devices, we also have cloud platforms, e-commerce platforms, stand-alone mobile applications, such as Smartisan Notes, Smartisan Calendar, and Smartisan Clock, and integrated Happy Cloud Web services, such as Cloud Notes, Cloud Albums, Contacts, and Find Phone. Of course, we will also develop related MacApps for Mac users. In fact, the software and services we want to do are far more than that...

Smartisan Technology has a group of programmers, designers, and product managers who love to create. We will create elegant and cool features and services, and spend enough energy and money to realize these ideas, and finally manifest them in the form of hardware + software. Our pursuit of excellence in software completion can be seen in SmartisanOS. The difference between design and implementation is at the pixel level. Each design element is in the most appropriate position, and each animation has its own life.

The shadow of the hands in the hammer clock and the rebound effect of the second hand will make users feel comfortable without knowing it. These features may be considered worthless in other companies, but in a team that pursues user experience, this is a manifestation of value.

Personally, software design and development on Mac are more attractive to me. I have used too many excellent software on Mac. Keynote can help you achieve the best presentation effect, iBooks provides the best book reading experience on the computer, Ulysses realizes the most focused writing platform, and Pixelmator allows people who don’t know PS to perform professional image editing... Can you imagine the handsome third cousin in the Sanbiao Longmenzhen, who made such a professional and versatile video with the system’s built-in iMovie? Every time I see Sanbiao Longmenzhen, I wonder, a man in his forties looks like a child in his early thirties, how did Sanbiao do it?

You know, my third cousin is not in the IT circle at all. He only started using Mac last year...

We want to make such software and have such an ecosystem. In fact, we have already made the first Mac App, but it is not yet time to release it. We will plan, design and create more such software and platforms. It is hard to imagine that programmers who have developed many excellent iOS Apps would not have the urge to create a Mac App.

Of course, we also recruit iOS developers, and if you also want to develop Mac apps, that would be even better.
