Restore a deeply demoted website from 0 to 4! How did it recover?

This was a website that seemed to have no room for salvation at the time. Even the client himself was ready to give up on the website. After years of hard work and optimization, the website was ruthlessly downgraded by Baidu in just three days. The weight dropped from 4 to 0, and the keyword ranking disappeared without a trace. The website is mainly for buying and selling QQ numbers. I heard from customers that the daily traffic was very good before, and the daily traffic was relatively fixed before the demotion. However, after being demoted by Baidu, the traffic was basically very little in just one or two days, because most of the website traffic comes from users searching for keywords through search engines. Once the search engine channel is shut down, the traffic will disappear completely.

Since I talked to the client a lot and had a very open conversation, after evaluating the website, I decided to take over the website and accept the challenge. After all, I am quite confident about this kind of downgraded website.

After getting the website, the first thing I did was to diagnose it internally. When I opened the website through the URL, I found a common problem: the website did not have 301 targeting. I will not say much about this common-sense problem. To put it simply, the website weight cannot be concentrated. In addition, there are a lot of JS on the website, and the JS is not encapsulated, so when I checked the source code, I found that the website was very messy, and many of them were in the header, which was not conducive to the search engine crawling the actual content of the website. After discovering the problem, I quickly dealt with it.

Next is the issue of website TDK. The problem mainly lies with Keywords, a very small detail, which is the factor of commas in Chinese and English. At that time, Chinese commas were used to separate keywords. In fact, there was only one keyword in the eyes of search engines, so this is a very small problem. But you have to know that details determine success or failure. So if you don’t handle the details well, how can your website’s ranking compete with others?

In addition, there is a little trick, which is also a more detailed processing. The website source code used to use relative links, that is, the link path homepage was replaced by "/", and there was no homepage URL. By calling the variable tag, I adjusted all the link forms to the full URL path. The advantage of doing this is that it facilitates search engine crawling, and the anchor text formed by the link helps improve keyword rankings.

After taking care of the details within the site, the next important step is to recover from demotion: external optimization. I mainly do this through three forms of external links: 1. Blog site group external links. ②News source external links. ③Forum external links. External links are mainly anchor texts, that is, the keywords of the website are made into the form of anchor texts.

External links can provide an entry for search engines, increase the weight of the website, and serve as a vote of trust for the search engine to add points to the website. Frequency of external link release: 20 blog group external links per day, 30 news source external links per day, 10 forum external links per day. Keep posting at this frequency every day.

Later, with the recommendation of SEO work, the effect was gradually shown, and the data in all aspects were also improving:

Baidu's weight has recovered to 4, the number of keywords is increasing day by day, and website traffic is also increasing. Now when querying data through webmaster tools, the website has been fully restored.

After more than two months, I finally completed this challenge that seemed impossible at the time. So as long as you are willing to work hard and have strategies and methods, there is no website problem that SEO cannot solve. You must believe in yourself!
