Among other provinces that have achieved "zero infection", Shanxi previously issued a notice that all senior high school students in the province should prepare to start school on March 25, and Tibet announced a tentative start date of late March.

Regarding the standards for reopening schools, on February 28, the Ministry of Education issued a notice clarifying three principles: schools will not reopen until the epidemic is basically under control; schools will not reopen if they do not have the basic prevention and control conditions; and schools will not reopen if the public health safety of teachers, students and campuses cannot be effectively guaranteed.
