In order to better serve all travelers, Hangzhou’s public buses and subways will now be free during peak hours in the morning and evening. When is the free time period? Are all lines free? Hangzhou public transportation and subway are free during peak hours in the morning and evening

The Hangzhou Municipal New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Group issued the "Notice on Optimizing Public Transportation and Services for Resuming Work and Production", the relevant content is as follows:

1. The trial period of free bus and subway rides is tentatively scheduled for March 18 to March 31, from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning and 14:30 to 18:30 in the afternoon on weekdays. The free rides will be trialed on the main urban bus lines (including the connecting lines between the main urban area and the four districts, excluding special lines) and the subway lines that have been opened for operation. During the free period, the start and end times of free bus rides are based on the boarding time; the start and end times of free subway rides are based on the exit time for passengers using stored value cards (Hangzhou Tong Card) and electronic payment (UnionPay card, QR code), and based on the entry time for passengers using one-way tickets. During the free ride period, one-way tickets will not be sold. Passengers can go to the dedicated gate to collect free one-way tickets. Each person is limited to one ticket per time.

2. Continue to implement the current prevention and control measures for public transportation and subways

During the trial period of free rides, relevant prevention and control measures for bus and subway rides will still be implemented according to current standards. There are 224 thermal imaging cameras in the 90 stations of the Hangzhou Metro network, and body temperature checks are carried out on all passengers entering the stations.

Elderly people, primary and secondary school students and other passengers without health codes can take the Hangzhou Metro if they present valid identification and entry and exit permits when entering the station, cooperate with the station registration, and have normal body temperature.

At present, we should not relax our vigilance when traveling and must take good personal protection. Cooperate with the relevant subway staff and wash your hands frequently when you get home.
