I have been in the Internet industry for two years. I hang out in various groups every day. Seeing some CPs asking so many questions that are so embarrassing that I can't help but wonder whether everyone has read the developer documents seriously. In fact, many of the questions we want to ask are answered in it. Here, based on my personal experience of working with Xiaomi for half a year, I would like to give you some reference. There are many links involved below, and those who are experienced can skip them directly.

Register a developer account: http://dev.xiaomi.com/doc/?p=90 There is no difference between enterprise and individual developers in terms of reviewing applications and obtaining recommendations. If you want to conduct paid promotion (CPD cooperation), you must register an enterprise developer account, so if you have a business license, you should register as an enterprise developer.
(1) You must provide a business license or organization code certificate. One business license can only register one developer account, and it is recommended to register using the company email address. If it is prompted that it has already been registered, it is recommended to first consult your colleagues in the company to see if it has been registered.
(2) A Xiaomi account must be bound to a phone number before registering a developer account. It is not recommended to register using a private Xiaomi account. (3) The review time is 1-2 working days. If there are special circumstances, please contact the contact person below this article.

It is recommended to use the Chrome browser when visiting the Xiaomi Developer Station to maintain applications. Xiaomi's submission backend has been merged with the open platform. The access address is dev.xiaomi.com. The new mi.com address is not very stable. If an error occurs, try to force refresh (Ctrl+F5) and clear the cache. If there are still problems, please shout in the developer group.

(1) Things you need to prepare: application introduction, tag keywords, official website address, test account (if there is an account system), 3-5 application screenshots, size: 480*854 or 720*1280 or 1080*1920, perfect icon (optional, please see the following link for requirements: http://dev.xiaomi.com/doc/?p=204)
(2) Xiaomi's review standards are relatively strict. Each application will enter the editor's review list after undergoing machine stability testing, and can only be released online after manual review. The review time for new applications is longer, basically 2-3 working days (note, it is working days! If you submit on Friday, you may have to wait until next Wednesday to get the result), and every rejection will require another 2-3 working days. If the application is updated, the review time is usually within one working day. After Boyang's strong response, I picked out a few of the most common reasons for rejection for your reference (even if you are awesome, you should pay attention to it!). It is recommended that after the technology is given the package, you install it on your mobile phone and check it yourself:

Application name
: Xiaomi allows you to add descriptions to the original application name, but the total length cannot exceed 16 characters, including 8 Chinese characters (one Chinese character takes up two characters, if you don’t know, go and face the wall). If you want to use special symbols, please use “-” (note that it is half-width). It is not recommended to use “()” or spaces. The correct name is for example:
Jumei Youpin-Overseas Shopping tag keywords : names of competitors or well-known brands cannot appear, and irrelevant keywords cannot be added. If found, it will be rejected.
Application screenshots and splash screens (startup pages) : Screenshots and splash screens must not contain the appearance of Apple phones, and must not contain any phone brands other than Xiaomi. The notification bar of screenshots and splash screens must not have irrelevant icons, and only retain system-provided icons such as time, operator , battery level, wifi, mobile network, etc. Don’t include the launch logos of other markets in your splash screen. If you make this mistake, byebye. . .

Automatic creation of shortcuts is not allowed : Although this requirement is harsh, it is also for a reason: Anyone who has used the MIUI system knows that the desktop is the main menu, and the application is placed on the desktop after successful installation. Therefore, this function itself is problematic. If you need to create an "ICON for extended functions", you must obtain user confirmation before you can do so. Creating without informing the user or checking the creation box by default is not allowed. This requires communication with the PM to avoid being rejected.

Update log : Let’s first talk about what an update log is. In an updated version, it contains descriptions of new features added compared to the previous version, or descriptions of bug fixes in certain aspects. Remember not to forget to modify the update log after transferring the update package. Even if it is a bug fix, you must remember the fix instructions, otherwise it will be irresponsible to the user.

2. Daily maintenance
( 1) Application updates must increase the version number (version code value). Update process: http://dev.xiaomi.com/doc/p=135/index.html. (2) We do not support version replacement or version rollback. If replacement is necessary, you need to delete the online application and upload it again. However, during the gap between the deletion and the next online launch, our application will not exist online and users will not be able to search and download it. Historical data will not be affected, but the ranking position after deletion will not be synchronized until the next day and will definitely drop. The specific reasons will be explained below. (3) It is best to distinguish the version numbers when updating. If the same version number is overwritten by the same version number, users who have previously installed the buggy version will not receive update notifications and will not be able to replace the problematic version. (4) After an application is rejected, a rejection reason will be provided and a notification email will be sent to the contact email address. (5) Application deletion and removal: Currently, backend self-operation is not supported. You need to send an application email. For the process, please refer to: http://dev.xiaomi.com/doc/?p=192. "Delete" and "Remove" are different. Read the process carefully to determine which operation you want to perform before applying. (6) The processing time is generally 1 working day, and the processing will be carried out uniformly at around 20:00 on the evening of the working day. (7) Check the download volume of the application: http://dev.xiaomi.com/doc/p=158/index.html (8) The download volume of the Xiaomi App Store only counts the download volume on pre-installed Xiaomi mobile phones (counting when downloading starts), and does not count the download volume from the web side or single-release app store . Therefore, the download volume data in the background will have a certain deviation from the statistics you have; if the deviation is too large, check whether it has been captured. (9) The package is captured by the crawler. How to replace it? After the crawler captures the package, it can replace the version code with the same version code. (3) Evaluation activities: Apply via email at least 8 working days before the launch of the activity. Applicable to unreleased new applications or major versions. It is recommended that the APK version applied for is equal to or lower than the existing version number (to prevent packet capture). The exposure is relatively large, but it cannot directly stimulate the download volume. (4) Regular activities: Apply through the backend. Apply for regular activities from the 10th of this month to the 10th of the next month in the developer backend before 12:00 on the 5th of each month. Due to limited space and a large number of applicants, the approval rate is around 10%; (It is recommended to plan an activity that is easy to participate in and novel). ( 5) Special collection: Apply by email. Apply for the activity schedule from the 15th of this month to the 15th of the next month before 12:00 on the 10th of each month. Only one special collection activity will be approved and launched each month. Apply together with 8-10 applications of the same type. (6) Self-recommendation of high-quality products: Applications are made via email. This is limited to new products. The application must be a high-quality new application that has not been recommended or promoted on any channel or website. The application can only be successful once. (7) Topic self-recommendation: reply to the post to apply. The post is updated in real time at: http://qgc.qq.com/91242263/t/17. It is recommended to look at the direction of the topic and do not reply to every post. If your self-recommendation reasons make you laugh, don’t bother, just wait for the next issue. The application success rate is low, with an average of less than 1 successful self-recommendation per topic. Paid cooperation: Mainly for CPD and exchange . Business is different from operation, so I often have to go out, so there are often situations where QQ replies are not timely. Just leave a message, but if it is urgent, please call directly. (1) Xiaomi has currently stopped its CPT cooperation. If a third-party agent comes to you with a so-called publication example and says that they can get Xiaomi's CPT position, I can only tell you that it is replaced by a volume exchange position. (2) Xiaomi CPD features: high price, good quality, and fierce competition. In order to control the high-price strategy of the "tycoons", the company has currently stopped accepting new partners. 4. Let me briefly introduce
Xiaomi's search and ranking. The ranking algorithm and search algorithm are updated every day. Of course, the algorithms are confidential. Let's briefly analyze them below. (1) CPD algorithm: I call the CPD ranking "score". Score = your bid * application coefficient. The higher the score, the better the position. The coefficient is an objective evaluation derived from the algorithm, including factors such as the click-through conversion rate of your application and the recent display frequency. In other words, if you want to stay in the same position, your bid needs to be higher and higher, which can be understood as the cooldown time of the skill. (2) Search algorithm: The weight of the application name is greater than the weight of the tag keyword. The search results are just the display part. Not every tag keyword is useful. Therefore, adding a cool description to your app name can really improve your ranking in the search. (3) Scoring algorithm: For example, the average score of version 2.0 of an application is 3 points, and the average score of version 3.0 is 4 points. The current average rating of the online 4.0 version is 5 points. Then the current average score of this application may be 3*20%+4*30%+5*50% (the percentages are fictitious). In other words, the score of the most recent version has the greatest weight. For products that are constantly being polished, the initial version may have some problems, but if they are corrected in subsequent versions, then the previous negative reviews will not have a decisive impact on the overall score in the future.

As developers, we have problems and we are anxious, hoping that they can be solved as soon as possible. But think about it, the channel staff are also people, and they also need rest. And facing hundreds or thousands of developers, they have to solve many repetitive and even very ignorant problems, and it takes time to reply to them one by one.
