A guide to Tik Tok account positioning, content and monetization!

A guide to Tik Tok account positioning, content and monetization!

I often see other people’s short video accounts with hundreds of thousands of views and likes, and their fans are increasing every day.

I also want to make short videos, but I can only watch others and I don’t know how to do it.

What is there to learn from other people’s accounts?

How should I analyze other people’s accounts?

Today, the village leader will provide you with a template for analyzing accounts. When you see good accounts and good content in the future, you can also analyze them independently and write some valuable content.

01 Is the basic account information setting reasonable?

When we evaluate a person, we usually look at his/her appearance, clothing, and grooming first, and then analyze his/her behavior, character, etc.

The same is true when we get a short video account. We first check whether the basic information of the account is set reasonably.

1. Profile

Many people like to use various landscapes, cartoons, animals and other avatars, and some avatars are even blurry.

In fact, we have to decide what avatar to use based on the account we create.

If you are a brand account, it is best to use your own logo. If you are a personal account, it is best to use your own good-looking and proper avatar. If you are a mother and baby account, you can use parent-child photos, etc.

2. Nickname

Most of the nicknames of Internet celebrities are not worth learning or borrowing, because their popularity is due to many special, coincidental, and capital factors.

For individuals or general companies, it is best to name it directly with your own name or name + service, which is also convenient for searching.

Some people like to use traditional Chinese characters, various letters, Internet pronunciations, etc. to name things, so that in the end only they can remember and understand them.

3. Introduction

If you are an account that sells products, you should simply and clearly introduce the advantages, honors, services and other information of your products to everyone.

In addition, there are related information such as background picture, whether the account is real, whether there is a store, phone number, address, etc.

Many accounts cannot pass the first level, mainly due to the following three problems:

First, the basic information settings are incomplete, and some information such as introductions and background pictures are empty.

The second is that the settings are arbitrary, and the avatar, nickname and the content posted by the account have nothing to do with each other.

The third is to change it frequently. Change the avatar today, change the nickname tomorrow, and change the profile the day after tomorrow.

If you see an account that has problems with even the basic information settings, there is a high probability that it will not be able to produce good content.

02 Is the account positioning and content reasonable?

After analyzing the external information, the next step is to look at the internal information. These are the core factors that determine the success of an account, accounting for at least 80%.

1. Is the content relevant to the product?

More than 90% of accounts make mistakes in the first step.

After creating an account, you can start posting videos immediately. You can post whatever you want without any rules.

I took a picture of the scenery today, the crowd on the street tomorrow, and the food on my dining table the day after tomorrow.

For example, someone’s account nickname is Xiaoli House Viewing, but the content of his videos are all about scenery and children. How can such an account achieve the goal of increasing followers and selling goods?

We must clearly understand that the content we post is to help the audience build a core understanding of the account.

Let him know what services you provide, what you are good at, what problems you solve, etc.

2. Did you solve other people’s problems?

The most frightening thing about shooting short videos is that everyone stands from "my" perspective and talks to themselves.

It seems that the information such as the factory, products, and place of origin have been taken, but the products just cannot be sold.

Why? Because the content you shoot has no value to users.

In other words, the way you share content prevents users from accurately and quickly receiving the ideas you want to convey.

Therefore, we have to shoot videos from the "user" perspective, and think about what problems the videos can solve for users and what users will gain after watching them.

Did users gain new knowledge from the videos you posted?

Has it broadened your horizons?

Did you immediately master a new method?

Do you see your safety, hygiene, authority, reliability, honor, and diligence?

As long as your content solves the user's problem, that's why the user will follow you.

Then someone may ask, aren’t those who take funny photos, travel photos, and food photos sharing their lives? How did you solve the problem?

If you look carefully at their copywriting, you will know whether they are helping users avoid pitfalls. Is it recommended for users? Is it expressing the user’s inner thoughts?

3. Does the content highlight the product advantages?

For accounts that sell clothing, food, toys, seafood and other series of goods, including many factory-based brand accounts.

If you want users to place an order after watching your video, you need to think about whether the content you shoot highlights the advantages of the product?

First, taking clothing as an example, what do users care about?

Do users care about whether it is versatile? Is it warm and cold-proof? Is it light and easy to wash? Is it good-looking and stylish? Is it wear-resistant and tear-resistant?

Therefore, you will see many videos selling clothes where the clothes are pulled, cut with knives, and shot in many scenes.

Taking selling fruits as an example, users care about whether the skin is thin, the flesh is thick, the fruit is juicy and sweet, whether it is easy to transport and store, and whether the quantity is large and affordable. Are they picked and shipped immediately from the place of origin?

Based on this, let’s go and look for accounts that sell oranges, mangoes, and grapefruits.

Why do they want to shoot videos in the orchard? Why do they want to count the number in front of you? Why do they want to tell you that they have recently changed to inflatable foam box packaging?

4. Is there a regularity in content publishing?

If you check an account, is it updated steadily every day or every week?

Is the style of the content consistent, such as cover, color, length, etc.?

Do you change bloggers frequently? Sometimes there is, sometimes not.

In fact, many accounts are inconsistent. They will post a few more videos if there is an event today, but will not post anything tomorrow if they don’t have time.

03 Is monetization sustainable?

The most important purpose of creating a short video account is to sell products.

The quality of the content directly determines whether you can sell goods.

What is it that affects whether the goods can be sold?

1. What goods are you selling?

The stupidest thing to do is to release all your products. This not only makes users feel dazzled, but also fails to highlight the best-selling products.

After reading the content, take a look at the store recommendations of this account to see how many products are recommended.

Not too much, not too little.

If there are too many, users won’t know how to choose; if there are too few, users won’t have the desire to click next time.

2. Are there any hot-selling products?

Having products is the basis of transactions, so whether or not there are hot-selling products will affect the sales of the store.

A hit product not only requires a reasonable price, but more importantly, it depends on the product itself and whether there are any packages, benefits, etc.

3. What is the product quality?

I saw an account a few days ago. It only had 6,000 followers, but it sold more than 5,000 items. It was a good start.

One of the popular products sold more than 3,000 pieces, but the fatal problem was that the store rating was only 4.62 points.

Not only did the best-selling products fail to sell, but even other products failed to sell well.

Therefore, when it comes to selling products, we must ensure that the quality of the products is reliable enough.

Otherwise all previous efforts will be in vain.

Because TikTok has such a strong two-sided nature, if someone buys your product and finds it bad, it will automatically spread after you post a video about it. The system will also recommend it to other people again, and your reputation and weight will be gone.

4. Is the live broadcast stable?

If you want to sell products through short videos, the most effective way is live streaming.

There are two main aspects to judge the quality of an account's live broadcast:

First, is the live broadcast stable? Is it broadcast every day or is there a big promotion live broadcast every week?

Secondly, the live broadcast content planning, the combination of each product, the formulation of prices and benefits, the setting of live broadcast links, etc., all directly affect the transaction.

The above is our most basic analysis idea for analyzing a short video account.

Most accounts are not doing well, probably because they do not meet some of the key points.

On the contrary, if you plan to create a short video account but don’t know how to start, then first think about the above self-examination checklist and see if you can do it.

Finally, I would like to remind you that if you want to better analyze the quality of an account operation.

You can appropriately combine short video analysis tools, such as analyzing video playback, likes, interactions, and conversion rates, and analyzing user interaction, retention, conversion, and viewing data in a live broadcast.

However, these more in-depth analyses are not suitable for an ordinary small account. Accounts that have not even shot more than 100 videos and have fewer than 50,000 followers should start with the basics and reflect on what they did wrong. What needs to be improved?
