Apple removed Autohome from its App Store. Here are the famous apps that were removed and the reasons for their removal!

We have been monitoring data and dynamics of all aspects of the App Store. In 2017, the App Store’s daily delisting list only included a few unknown, low-level apps. But around four o'clock this afternoon, we found that " Autohome " was suddenly removed from the App Store.

Apple App Store has always been strict in dealing with violations. No matter whether it is an unknown app or an app from a big company, as long as a violation is discovered, it will be removed from the App Store. Of course, there are also some apps that are removed from the App Store by the developers themselves, but such cases are relatively rare. According to relevant statistics, the famous apps that were removed from Apple in 2016 include :

On December 15, the Renren Car Owner version was removed from the App Store. Renren Car urgently uploaded another version of the App Renren Secondhand Car, which ranked first under the keyword Renren Car.
On December 13, Yizhibo was removed from the App Store and was restored online three days later.
On September 3, Xunlei was removed from the App Store, and the app has not been restored online to date.
On August 5, a total of 21 apps under the developer account of Toutiao were removed from the App Store, including well-ranked apps such as Toutiao, Toutiao Exploration Edition, and Neihan Duanzi.
On June 23, a total of 13 apps under Meituan’s developer account were removed, including Meituan Group Buying, Meituan Takeout , Maoyan Movies and other apps.
On February 29, Boss Zhipin was removed from the App Store. Boss Zhipin announced that its App Store account had been hacked by its competitor Lagou.com and the App was maliciously deleted. After the dispute, Lagou.com CEO Xu Dandan sent an apology letter admitting that Lagou employees had made inappropriate actions that had a great impact on Boss Zhipin.
From January 20 to February 23, Yingke Live was removed from the App Store three times in about a month. There are many different opinions on the reasons for the removal, and pornography and payment issues are the main reasons speculated within the industry.

We don’t know the reason why Autohome removed the product from the shelves this time, and Autohome has not announced it either. But we have summarized some common reasons for delisting. If you developers don’t understand them, you can save them~

Disrupting the App Store

Many developers use illegal promotion methods (such as flashing ) to boost the rankings of their apps. Apple has a very low tolerance for such violations and will remove the apps from the App Store or even ban their accounts once they are discovered.

Involving sensitive content

It mainly includes content such as pornography, violence, politics, and religion.

Involving infringement disputes

Apple will remove third-party content such as movies, music, text, and even design-related content such as icons and fonts from its App Store to avoid liability risks if there is no clear authorization statement or after being reported.

Inducing user behavior

This mainly refers to inducing users to give good reviews to the App. For example, for some tool apps, users can only use the relevant functions after giving good reviews.

Add illegal code

Especially when it comes to in-app purchases (IAP) and payments, once Apple finds that an App has connected to a third-party payment code, it will be removed from the shelves.

Serious bug or long time no update

On September 23, 2016, the App Store removed 30,000 apps in one day, 70.5% of which had not been updated for at least two years.

Conflicts with Apple products

For example, Apple does not allow apps with functions similar to the App Store to appear in the App Store. Many developers have not read the App Store developer agreement carefully. This is because the English version of the developer agreement is indeed difficult to read and some details are often updated.
