Be careful when installing and configuring server hosting yourself

When you are hosting a server, if you install and configure the server yourself, you need to pay attention to the following:

① The server must be tested and run locally for a certain period of time (3-4 days). Only servers that have been tested for a few days can be said to be stable. Some customers send their newly installed servers to us immediately (even before they are configured), which may cause problems and waste your time. When installing the WINDOWS system, you need to install all modification packages, including online upgrades, to avoid the server being infected with the shock wave virus.

② When installing the server, all spare parts (such as hard disk) must be fixed. If they are not fixed properly, the parts will shake in the chassis during transportation, which may damage the hardware. We once encountered a customer whose hard disk was not fixed properly. The hard disk was found to be damaged after the server arrived at the computer room. In addition, pay attention to the packaging protection during shipment, and tell the freight company to handle it with care.
③The server hardware configuration should be stable and efficient. Never buy server accessories that are too cheap. If any problems occur during server operation due to configuration issues, the losses will be huge.
④The most important point is that it is best to find computer rooms with independent property rights, rather than looking for agents. First, the bandwidth is a bit discounted, and second, if something major happens to it, you may suffer huge losses.
