1. Application Market Channels

As the name suggests, the first step in APP promotion is of course to get the app online. Therefore, coverage of major download markets, application stores, large platforms, and download sites is necessary, and is also the main source of downloads for the product in the early stages. Specifically, the APP application market can be divided into the following six categories.
  • Official channels: Apple App Store: It occupies more than 70% of the channel share of iOS. Android Google Play adopts an open strategy, so its channel share in China is only about 7%.
  • Third-party stores : The mainstream ones include Wandoujia, 91, Anzhi, Jifeng, etc.
  • Internet channels : 360, Baidu, Tencent, NetEase, Sohu, Sina, etc., including mobile assistants, application centers, etc.
  • Mobile phone manufacturers: In addition to Apple's APP store, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, LeTV, OPPO, VIVO, Meizu, etc. all have their own app stores, and mainstream mobile app stores need to be listed.
  • Operator platform: mainly refers to the app stores of China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. Although not many people know about them, they have a large user base, so the effect after being recommended is also good~
  • Software download sites: such as Sky Download, Huajun Software Download, Baidu Software Center, Zhongguancun Download, and Pacific Download. Users can find downloads when searching on the web, which is quite convenient. It also mainly plays a supplementary role.

All of the above are basic online methods and do not require any money; therefore, as an APP promoter, you must make full use of these channel resources.

2. Self-media promotion

In recent years, self-media platforms are also one of the promotion channels that has been favored by many app operators, because it is free! By registering an account on a self-media platform and publishing some articles related to the APP, it can help users understand the functions and uses of the APP, guide users to download and use it, and thus obtain a certain amount of downloads.

There are many platforms to choose from, including Baidu Baike, Toutiao, Yidian Zixun, NetEase We Media, etc. Of course, if you want to use We Media channels to promote APP, a high-quality article is essential~ So when editing the copy, you must remember the truth of "careful creation, content is king" , so that you can get more recommendations and readings!

3. Promotion channels of points wall

Points wall refers to the integration of points tasks in high-traffic apps, allowing users to earn points through downloading, registering, and other behaviors. Take Wulinwaizhuan as an example. When users want to make money, they will complete tasks to win rewards. When users complete the tasks, download and try the game for three minutes, they can get a certain amount of reward, and Wulinwaizhuan can charge advertising fees according to the actual advertising effect (CPA).

4. Banner Ads

Banner ads, also called Banner, are the most common form of mobile advertising. They can be divided into three categories: static banners, animated banners, and interactive banners.

7. Ranking promotion

Although many people know that this method is illegal , it is still very common to do so. 8. APP exchange

This mode of operation can make full use of the traffic of both parties to increase exposure and downloads. However, the app itself needs to have a certain number of users as a basis~
Of course, if your own volume is small in the early stage, don’t panic, you can go to the online alliance to exchange for high-quality resources in the app store; this is also more practical.

9. Promotion on social platforms

It is no exaggeration to say that for anyone who has a mobile phone, social networking platforms must be one of their most commonly used applications. Therefore, when promoting APP applications, we can also make full use of this feature and promote APP applications in the social circles frequently used by users, which will definitely achieve very good promotion results. It is often possible to ignite social circles through some interesting ideas or small favors, which is also a promotion model from point to surface. In terms of specific models, it can be roughly divided into APPMGM, red envelope fission, relationship fission and group purchase fission.

  • Promotion at events and exhibitions: Promotion at conferences, events, exhibitions, etc. is very practical for vertical apps.
