4 suggestions for writing articles for public accounts

4 suggestions for writing articles for public accounts

The author of this article will share with us 4 of his own opinions on writing articles for WeChat public accounts based on his own experience.

The popularity of WeChat has also brought about another saying – even the smallest individual can have his or her own brand!

This sentence is very well said. Everyone can have a brand and everyone can write articles. It doesn’t matter whether others agree with it or not, as long as you agree with it.

Tuotu also writes articles, but it is not considered a self-media, nor does it strive to be one. It mainly expresses some of its own opinions and shares some concepts.

As I said before, it is a private reserve for myself.

In my opinion, writing articles helps me convey some ideas that I want to convey, helps me express some concepts that I want to reach, and helps others better understand the information I want to convey.

If I express myself frankly enough and the readers happen to like it, that would be a blessing.

Here, Tuotu will share with you 4 of my own ideas in the process of writing public account articles. These are purely personal experiences, and I hope they will be of great help to everyone.

1. Clear policies and clear directions

First of all, before you start writing an article, you must be clear about your goal. What do you want to do?

At least you have to know what you want to write, what you want to express, and what you want to convey to your readers. This is very important, very important.

Only in this way can you know what the focus of your report is, how to write it, what proportion this key point should account for, how to explain that case, and so on.

What are we afraid of when writing articles?

I’m afraid that readers will leave after reading your article and say: What the hell is this trying to say!

Of course, this is not the most frightening thing.

The most frightening thing is that after you finish reading it, you say something strangely: What the hell am I trying to say?

If you don't even want to understand it, how can the readers understand it? Think about what you want to convey before you start writing!

However, one thing needs to be noted. Policy clarification does not just mean admitting an article topic, but admitting your purpose in writing this topic. For example, if your topic is "How to write a good article", then what is the policy?

Are you asking others how to write an advertisement? Or how to write new media articles? Maybe you want to teach others how to choose topics? Or how to write a title? These need to be considered carefully.

Once the policy is confirmed, we will proceed around it and use an article to complete this policy and this matter.

All the proofs, cases, experiences, data, pictures, and layouts should be intended to better implement the policy and make the message you want to convey clearer and clearer.

You can talk about everything under the sun, and you can discuss the past or the present, but the prerequisite is that they are all under your control and revolve around this policy. The most important thing is that you can take them back.

In addition, when confirming policies, it is best to subdivide them vertically. Don't have too many policies, as too many policies will cause confusion. It is good enough to handle one policy well.

How many people can do something big and comprehensive well!

2. Make an outline and strengthen logic

People who have just started writing articles are prone to a problem - they start writing about themselves as they go along, and their writing becomes a mess, with all sorts of haphazard combinations.

TuoTu has a suggestion that you can try to develop the habit of making an outline, which is definitely a quick way to write an article.

What is outlining?

This is also thanks to the fact that our primary school Chinese teachers taught us how to summarize in a concise way, which is to express a long paragraph accurately in simple words.

Outlining is a little different from this. The summarizing stage is mainly for existing articles, while outlining is to conceive the article in advance and establish the structure of the article.

I often advocate new media editing, which is to divide an article to be written into different parts around the theme, write out what each part is to be written in one sentence, and then continue to divide each part into the next level.

In this way, layer by layer, the logic becomes clearer, and each part corresponds to its own content, forming a simple article structure.

For beginners, they will not go astray, nor will they be unable to recover.

Moreover, making an outline in advance will also speed up your writing. Because once the structure of the article is set up, what you need to do is not to write the entire article in one breath, but to write each part in detail.

For example, I usually only do two things before I start writing an article: think about the topic and make an outline.

First of all, I will admit my policy of writing this public account article, and I need to know what I am writing.

The next step is to make an outline. I will list each part to be written sentence by sentence to form an article structure, and then start writing when I have time.

Over time, the basics I have listed now are the essence of the entire article and can be used directly as subheadings.

It is recommended that you keep doing this. After a while, you don’t need to write out the outline at all. You can just list it in your head. This is a great way to exercise your logical thinking ability.

Going forward, you don’t even need to make an outline intentionally, because the habit has been formed and your logical ability has been developed. Don't disbelieve it, your brain automatically starts making an outline.

Especially for those who want to vent as soon as they get into a good mood, they can't stop writing at all. You can't give them time to make an outline. So this kind of talent is very important, otherwise it would be endless and without any rules.

After all, you are indeed vivid, smooth and straightforward, but the readers may be confused by you.

I have a habit of writing down what comes to my mind or the ideas that flash through my mind. If I want to write something, I will immediately make an outline, which may be just a few dozen words or a few subheadings.

But when I have the time it can quickly become several thousand words.

To put it bluntly, practicing writing logic is practicing your ability to write with your brain. After all, you can imitate writing in the car, in bed, in the toilet, in a cafe, while meditating...

3. Establish quality and construct features

Never before have people in an era paid so much attention to "my" feelings and "my" needs. Therefore, in this context, when people make choices, they are more likely to start from human motivations.

One of the most important factors regarding "I" is the state of mind.

When we write articles now, we all focus on having our own characteristics and unique style. We can be funny when necessary and scold when necessary. This makes it easier to touch people's hearts, and over time this way of expression will become a style.

However, in my opinion, mood does not necessarily need to be so exciting, and style does not necessarily need to be expressed in wild language.

The long-term output of values will also form its own unique characteristics. I like Wu Xiaobo’s financial column very much. There are no extreme words and no one-sided guidance, but the values are clear.

Although this form of expression is not as quick as emotional catharsis, one touches the short-term mood, while the other affects long-term values.

Personally, I am not very good at speaking in an aggressive manner, and I may make a joke occasionally. I prefer to share real and valuable content, perhaps with less obvious features.

However, you still have to be responsible for what you say to others. Maybe this is also a style.

The other one is the quality of written articles, which is actually also part of the style.

When we write articles, we can say that it is a way of communicating with readers, that is, talking to people. Isn’t that what it says? Writing an article is all about finding the right person to say the right things.

Since it is speaking, each person's tone of voice, way of speaking, values expressed, etc. are all different.

And this is something we must gradually establish when writing articles - the quality of the text.

This is what we have always emphasized, and it is also what all big Vs are doing. We are not robots speaking, but we want to portray a living person.

How can I put it that when you talk to people, you don’t act like a “human”, right?

This then raises a question: what kind of person do you want to describe in your writing?

If you are describing a "warm man", you should speak like a warm man!

If you are describing a "professional low-key man", you should talk like a professional low-key man!

If you are describing a "remarkable woman who combines beauty and intelligence", you should speak like a remarkable woman who combines beauty and intelligence!

If you are describing a "witty, funny, and joke-loving veteran", you should also speak like a witty, funny, and joke-loving veteran!

Every writer should have a different way of “speaking” in his or her article, because it is different for every writer.

Maybe the quality of your article's "speaking style" is not so obvious, but there must be something you bring, and what you have to do is to expand it.

When you figure this out, you can start speaking well.

Knowing this, all we have to do is keep going. When it comes to writing, no style can be formed in a day or two, and no quality can be established in a short time.

This requires continuous output, adhering to one's own style and quality, not forgetting the original intention, and knowing how to restrain oneself.

4. Speak human language, don’t act like a fool

As I said just now, writing an article is all about finding the right person to say the right words, just like communicating with readers face to face.

As I said at the beginning, the purpose of an article is to help others understand my ideas more easily and conveniently, so the information you convey should be information that your readers can easily understand and receive.

Therefore, the content does not need to have too many fancy words, and there is no need to show off all kinds of writing skills. Maybe for a single word, you have all kinds of strange and weird ways of expressing it in your head. You are great, but do your readers have the same way in their heads?

If not, then he can't understand. You may be amazed at your own writing skills and feel very excited about it, but when he reads the article, he may only have one question: What the hell is this?

So my final suggestion is very simple, that is, don't make your article difficult to understand, just get straight to the point, and use simple language.

Don't always think about using first-class adjectives. It's meaningless. Adjectives are not popular in today's high-end documents.

Don't pursue that literary style unless you are destined to develop in that direction. Elegant words and exquisite vocabulary are likely to overshadow the main focus of the article, grabbing the attention that should be placed on the content of the article.

The results are superficial and neglect the essentials.

Therefore, without any special reason, try to use the language used in daily conversation to write articles for the public account. There is no need to make them so poetic or profound.

We are not keeping you in suspense, we just want to communicate with readers through the official account articles.

I think this is great, as it can shorten the distance and make writing easier. Everyone can chat, and readers will understand at a glance and hear the message, which directly touches people's hearts, killing three birds with one stone!

So how do you speak human language in your articles and how do you make your articles easy to understand?

Many such methods have been mentioned before. Tuotu will give us some examples here, and each of them is a very good skill.

For example, using short sentences, which are concise and easy to read, will make the narrative compact and create good tension.

For example, use more classical Chinese and "you" to give full play to the role of natural language. Don't be too literary, be more classical.

For example, describe more details. A bunch of vague and general information will make it difficult for users to form cognition. The more details there are, the more vivid the picture becomes.

For example, we can create more scenarios, which are concrete and have pictures, and can evoke emotions in people.

For example, learn more about related things and use what users already know to explain things they don’t know yet, which can allow people to understand various unknown things in a short period of time.

For example, talk more about practical matters, because speaking about practical matters is more realistic and readers can empathize more.

For example, tell more stories, tell your own stories, tell stories around you, tell stories that have been heard. Stories do have a strong power to bring readers into the scene, and they will listen to you attentively.

For example, use more verbs and specific nouns. Verbs are the easiest to make users evoke images in their minds, and the same is true for specific nouns.

We can use these methods more often when writing articles, and just use one at a time, and we will be able to do it with ease.

In addition, in my opinion, speaking human language has another meaning, which is to help some people express their own ideas or opinions and say what they want to say.

This is also a huge demand point, and it still has a very large market, which may not be consumed in a lifetime.

Expressing opinions is a daily need in our daily life, work, and social activities, and it never stops. Almost all people hope to influence others by expressing their opinions.

Don't say you're not!

Therefore, our official account articles can also help them express their opinions and say what they want to say, which will make it easier for them to accept and resonate.

Well, that’s all I have to share with you.

In general, it is not easy to write articles for public accounts, so if you want to write, just write them well!

I hope we can all write articles that satisfy us! People who like to write will never have a bad fate.

Finally, I would like to share with you a sentence from Jiang Nanchun:

Ultimately, what you believe becomes what you become. Because the two most terrifying words in the world are persistence and seriousness.

Serious people change themselves, and persistent people change their destiny.

In addition, if you want to know more, you can pay attention. There will be updates on public account search , how to export public account articles, and some knowledge points and methods for collecting WeChat public account articles .
