Be careful of burns when using a warm baby in winter

Every cold winter

Human beings are all related to an item called a quilt

Produce an inseparable emotion

Until one day, a heating device called a warm baby replaced

With a piece on the chest and back, you can easily take off your down jacket.

However

You don't know that this temperature may also burn you

1. This is the famous winter low-temperature burn

Low-temperature burns refer to chronic burns caused by prolonged contact with low-temperature objects above 44-50°C. When the outside temperature is low, the individual becomes dependent on low temperatures, and the heat penetrates deeper into the skin tissue, aggravating the burn.

Infants, the elderly, paralyzed patients or drunk people, and other people with reduced senses are at high risk of low-temperature burns.

The commonly used warmers, small suns and electric blankets in winter can cause low-temperature burns if they remain at 44° for up to 6 hours.

2. Symptoms after low temperature burns

Low-temperature burns are different from high-temperature burns. The pain is not obvious. Only redness, swelling, blisters, peeling or whitening will appear on the skin. The area is not large, and the surface burns of the skin are not serious. In severe cases, deep tissue necrosis may occur. If not handled properly, ulcers will occur, the tissue repair ability will be weakened, and it will not be able to heal for a long time.

Three, five tips to solve low temperature burns

Rinse: Rinse the burn area quickly with running cold water to reduce the heat on the skin surface and reduce deep damage to the skin.

Remove: After rinsing for 20 minutes, carefully remove the clothing in cold water. If the wound is stuck to the clothing, cut it open carefully to avoid tearing it apart.

Soak: If the pain is obvious, soak in cold water for 10 to 30 minutes to relieve the pain.

Cover: Gently cover the affected area with sterile gauze. If gauze is not available, a clean and dry towel can be used instead. Remember not to cover with contaminated, hairy, or flocculent items to avoid adhesion to the wound.

Send: If there are blisters, broken skin, etc., please go to the hospital for treatment in time.

4. Do these four things to avoid low temperature burns

Do these four things to avoid low temperature perm

1. When using heating equipment, do not apply it directly to the skin for a long time. 20 minutes is recommended.

2. Don’t walk if you can run, and don’t sit if you can stand. Walking, running, aerobics and other exercises can not only speed up blood flow, but also allow muscles to generate heat from the inside of the body.

3. People with diabetes, the elderly, those in local surgical areas, children, etc. should use heating equipment with caution.

4. Do not lie on the electric blanket during working hours. The heating pad should be changed within 3 hours; the foot soaking time should be less than 30 minutes.
