In response to this round of rainfall, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters launched a level IV flood emergency response yesterday.

It is worth noting that during this round of heavy rainfall in Shandong, Liaoning and other places, there is a certain degree of extremeness, which may be rare during the same period. In particular, eastern Liaoning and southern Shandong and other places need to be vigilant against floods in small and medium rivers and mountain torrents. The meteorological risk of local geological disasters in southeastern Liaoning is high and precautions should be taken.

Eight cities in Liaoning Province launch flood control level IV emergency response

The reporter learned from the Liaoning Provincial Meteorological Department that due to the combined influence of the northward movement of the subtropical high and the Jianghuai cyclone, Liaoning will experience the strongest rainstorm since the beginning of the flood season this year on June 27, and there is a possibility of disasters such as mountain torrents, landslides, and mud-rock flows in many places. Eight cities in Liaoning have initiated a flood control level IV emergency response, and China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group has suspended 44 passenger trains.

According to the Liaoning Provincial Meteorological Department, the rainfall will develop from south to north. The cumulative rainfall in western and southeastern Liaoning is expected to be 50 to 100 mm, 100 to 150 mm in some areas, and up to 150 to 200 mm in some towns (streets); the maximum hourly rainfall intensity is 30 to 70 mm; the maximum instantaneous wind speed is 8 to 10.

It is expected that from day to night on the 27th, Zaozhuang, Linyi, Rizhao, southern Weifang, Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai will have heavy to torrential rain and local heavy rainstorms, accompanied by obvious thunder and lightning, with a maximum hourly rainfall of 50 to 80 mm; other areas will have thunderstorms or showers.

Qingdao: Red warning for heavy rain continues to be issued

Precipitation in some areas has exceeded 200 mm

The Qingdao Meteorological Observatory in Shandong Province continued to issue a red warning signal for heavy rain at 7:00 on the 27th: At present, the precipitation in most areas of Qingdao has reached more than 100 mm, and in some local areas it has exceeded 200 mm, accompanied by heavy precipitation of more than 50 mm in 1 hour. It is expected that precipitation will continue from today's day to night.

Chongqing City ushered in a new round of heavy rainfall since June 26. Heavy rains fell in 27 districts and counties, and three rivers experienced floods above the warning level. The local area has launched a level III flood prevention emergency response.

Affected by heavy rainfall, 60 small and medium-sized rivers in Chongqing experienced a rise in water levels of 1 to 6 meters. Three small and medium-sized rivers, including Luzi Creek in Jiangjin District, Heishuitan River in Beibei District, and Qingxi River in Qijiang District, experienced floods above the warning level, and the water levels are still rising.
