1. New car transaction situation - In April, Beijing's new car transactions totaled 40,700 units, a month-on-month decrease of 20.6%, 26.5 percentage points lower than the national average; a year-on-year decrease of 30.32%, 17.28 percentage points lower than the national average.
- From January to April, Beijing sold a total of 174,600 new cars, a year-on-year decrease of 14.14% from 203,400 last year, 2 percentage points higher than the national average.
II. Sales of imported vehicles- In April, Beijing traded 3,763 imported vehicles, down 7% from the previous month and 28.27% from the previous year.
- From January to April, the cumulative transaction volume of imported vehicles in Beijing was 14,700 units, a year-on-year decrease of 22.23%.
- In April 2022, sales of imported cars in Beijing accounted for 9.24% of Beijing’s total new car transactions, an increase of 1.35 percentage points month-on-month and 0.26 percentage points year-on-year.
- From January to April, the cumulative sales of imported cars in Beijing accounted for 8.44% of the total new car transactions in Beijing.
3. Sales of New Energy Vehicles- In April, Beijing's new energy vehicle transactions totaled 13,300 units, down 21.2% from the previous month and up 36.25% from the previous year, accounting for 32.77% of the total new vehicle transactions. Pure electric vehicles sold 87.56 million units, accounting for 65.64% of new energy vehicle sales. Domestic new energy vehicles sold 12,800 units, accounting for 96% of new energy vehicle sales.
- From January to April, a total of 49,000 new energy vehicles were traded in Beijing, a year-on-year increase of 34.34%, accounting for 28.11% of the total new car transactions.
4. Second-hand car transactions- In April, 50,800 second-hand cars were transferred in Beijing, down 11.92% from the previous month and 20.13% from the previous year. The out-migration rate was 27.8%, and the ratio of new to old cars was 1:1.25.
- From January to April, the cumulative transaction and transfer of used cars in Beijing was 191,800, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1%. The out-migration rate was 34.9%, and the ratio of new to old cars was 1:1.1.
